Badla lene ka maza tab hai, jab dushman samjhe ke sab kuch thik hai.
Zakhm jitna gehra hota hai, badla utna hi zabardast hota hai.

After three years

The Oberoi mansion is filled with mixed emotions as Dhir's parents, who have spent years longing for their son, sit together in the living room. Randhir, who had an accident a year ago and is now confined to a wheelchair, entered the room with the help of Arohi. The atmosphere is heavy, with Randhir unable to walk or talk, communicating only through sign language. The once lively and talkative young man has become a quiet figure, though his presence still brings some comfort to his parents.

Just then, the PA entered, delivering the news. "Sir, Ranvijay sir wapas sheher aa gaye hain, aur aaj shaam tak ghar aa rahe hain."
(Sir, Ranvijay sir has returned to the city and will be home by this evening)

Dhir's Mom gasped and started crying, overwhelmed with emotion. "Mera beta... paanch saal baad wapas aa raha hai! Aur Randhir... ek saal se yeh haal hai. Par ab dono mere paas honge."

(My son... he’s coming back after five years! And Randhir... it’s been a year like this. But now both my sons will be with me.)

Randhir signaled through sign language.
"Ranvijay ke aane se sab kuch theek hoga, Papa."

(Everything will be fine once Ranvijay comes, Dad)

"Ranvijay ke liye uske pasandida khaane banao, woh paanch saal baad aa raha hai. Har cheez bilkul perfect honi chahiye." Dhir’s Mom ordered the cook.

(Cook all of Ranvijay's favorite dishes. He’s coming back after five years, everything has to be perfect.)

The cook nodded and left to begin preparations. Meanwhile, Arohi moved closer to Randhir, who sat quietly, lost in thought. She learnt sign language for him. She touched his hand gently, initiating a conversation in sign language. "Tum theek ho, Randhir? Tumhare chehre pe kuch pareshaani lag rahi hai."

(Are you okay, Randhir? You look a little worried)

Randhir paused and signed back.
"Kuch nahi, bas mann nahi lag raha."

(Nothing, just not feeling up to it)

Arohi, sensed his unease, took his hand more firmly and looked into his eyes with reassurance. She signed slowly, making sure he understands her message. "Apne accident ke baare mein sochna band karo, Randhir. Tumhara bhai paanch saal baad wapas aa raha hai. Iss khushi ke pal mein jeene ki koshish karo."

(Stop thinking about your accident, Randhir. Your brother is coming home after five years. Try to live in this moment of happiness.)

Randhir looked at her, his eyes softening. Though he’s still haunted by the accident, he feels Arohi’s warmth and care. After a brief moment, he responds in sign language.

"Main koshish karoonga."

(I’ll try.)

Arohi smiled and squeezed his hand gently, silently letting him know that she’s with him through it all.

Just then moment is interrupted by the ring of Dhir’s dad’s phone. His expression quickly changed as he listened to the person on the other end, his face turned red with anger.
