PT. 9. CHANGES.

-Karlos' office.

"You called?" Jacob entered. Jaden and Carmila were still a bit injured, so they couldn't come.
"Okay, guys.. change in plans. You have free permission to use ALL your abilities now.. this is getting serious, so go wild." Karlos said, smoking.
Jacob's mouth went a bit wide in surprise, he didn't expect Karlos to let them act freely...
"Ah, thanks, it was so annoying holding back." Jacob itched the back of his head in a bored manner.
"Just be careful."

-BLACKSOUL'S BASE.

U9 and Venus were in their shared dormitory, both of them laying down lazily.
"Mmph.. i can't believe about what happened in that station a few hours ago." Venus said.
"Meh, they got what they deserved." U9 said, not really seeming to care about what happened.
"I guess. Earl died, and Dante was raging when he heard that. Both André and Earl are dead now." Venus replied.
"Tch... that guy Earl was too dumb. he had it coming." Venus added.
"True. That idiot thought he was some sort of hero." U9 said, scoffing. "I never liked him."
"He was annoying. I bet André was much stronger than him. He got way too over-confident." Venus replied, trying not to laugh.
"Hey... André didn't have any ability, though. his reflexes were just a natural part of him." U9 said.

"You're always bored." U9 said in an annoyed tone, before sitting up.

Jacob walked to Carmila and Jaden's dormitory, and peeked through the cracks of the entrance, where he spotted her on a bed, laying down with her phone.
"Pst. i'm coming in." Jacob said.
"hm? Oh, alright." Carmila said, standing up, but then wincing at the pain in her leg.
"Are you okay? I brought you some painkillers just in case." He said as he walked further into the dorm. Jaden was also there, laying down in one of the beds and looking at his laptop.
Jacob sighed.
"I guess i'm just a bit worried for you, y'know." He said.
"Aww, cute." She mocked childishly, sitting back onto the bed, groaning a bit from the pain still. "No but seriously... i'm okay... mostly." She took a painkiller from Jacob.
"that knife left a scar on my pretty neck.. damnnnittt... how dare he even touch it?!" She swallowed it, sighing in relief.
Meanwhile, Jaden just sat on his bed, trying to ignore the conversation next to him.
"That was really risky of you though... You almost got killed with such an easy move!" Jacob scolded.
"Meh.. it was worth it though. he was annoying." She said.

"And man.. my chest still hurts like hellll.. what about me? i need sum painkillers too, ya know!" Jaden paused the video he was watching.
Jacob rolled his eyes as he picked out one of the pills, and then threw it at Jaden's head carelessly, the pill hitting his forehead. "There you go." Jacob said as Jaden caught it with his mouth.
"Ey, i'm hungry too. Order something." Jaden added, having not eaten anything yet.
"Uh, yeah. what do you guys want?" Jacob grabbed his phone.
"I want pizza." Jaden said instantly.
"I want chicken burgers." Carmila said next.
"alright, fine." Jacob ordered the two of their foods, paying for it digitally.
"Should be here any minute now." He said as he lazily dropped to the couch, next to Jaden and Carmila.
"How long do you think this will take? I'm starving, dammit.." Jaden said.
"You'll survive 20 minutes, you crybaby.." Carmila lightly hit his head.
"Yeahhh, whatever you say." Jaden replied, sounding a bit annoyed.
Carmila laid her head on Jacob's lap, while Jaden looked at something on his laptop.

After 20 minutes of waiting, the food finally came, and the 3 of them dug in.
"Gosh, that was so good." Carmila said, feeling a slight bit tired.
"Yeah, wasn't that bad..." Jaden said, laying down on the couch.
Jacob sighed.
"Anyway, i'll go take a nap. Wake me up if you guys need anything." Jaden yawned, slowly walking to his bed.
After a few hours, it was already the evening. Jaden was asleep, and Jacob and Carmila were still watching a movie together on the couch.
"RUNN DUMBASS RUNNNN!!"
"WHY ISN'T HE RUNNING?!"
"JUST PUNCH THE FUCK OUTTA THAT GHOOOSTT!"
They were both yelling at the main character.
Soon enough, they both fell asleep too, and when the morning came, Jacob slowly opened his eyes in his bed, stretching.

"Ugh.. what time is it.." He said to himself, looking sleepy, as he quickly turned on his phone, seeing it was 7 AM.
He rubbed his eyes, tiredly, before walking to Jaden, and then shaking him awake.
"Urr....whadya waaaaant?" Jaden said sleepily.
"C'mon, wake up. It's already 7." Jacob said, still tired too.
"5 more minutes.." Jaden said, burying his face in the pillow, sounding tired.
"Ugh, you always say that! wake up!" Jacob said, now slightly annoyed.
He quickly took Jaden's blanket off, and pushed him off the bed, with Jaden screaming as he fell.
Jaden stood up, pissed.
"What the hell?" He frowned, rubbing his eyes some more and yawning.
"Finally, you're awake. Get ready, we have a mission. and wake Carmila up." Jacob said, standing up and walking to the kitchen, where he began making breakfast for everyone.

"Yeah, yeah.." Jaden sighed, going over to Carmila's bed and shaking her.
"wake uuuup... wake uuuuup.." He mumbled, sounding tired, just like she was right now.
"Wha...?" She asked sleepily, her hair messy, her eyes looking tired.
"We have a mission. get up." Jaden replied, a bit grumpy.
"Ugh, fine.. give me 10 minutes." She said, closing her eyes again.
Jaden got slightly annoyed, so he just took out a water bottle and quickly splashed it onto her face.
"AUGH—WHA—!! I'm up, you LITTLE FUCK!" She quickly sat up, and got up from her bed, looking furious.
"I'm making pancakes. We have a mission. get up!" Jacob yelled from the kitchen.
The smell of pancakes caused Carmila's irritation to quickly go away.
"Fine.. Pancakes. then i'll get ready." She said, walking to the kitchen.

-Later, in Karlos' office.-

The trio walked into Karlos' office, waiting to hear him.
He soon took a sip of freshly brewed coffee before speaking.
"Ah, glad you're here. As you may have expected, there is another job." He said.
"What's this one about?" Jaden asked.
"Right. The target's name is 'Kory Yutomi'." He began, as the trio listened quietly.
"He's a filthy rich billionaire, who likes to... gamble, we will say. tonight, he'll be holding a party in his mansion. You all are to infiltrate the party, and... eliminate him without anyone noticing." He finished.

"...eh?"
