One night, in the town of Amity Park, a mysterious being lurked through the shadows. Who was it? Only one person would know, and that person would be Danny Phantom.

He sensed a strange presence in the night as he was out wandering around, and it was coming from right around the corner. He snuck up on the mysterious figure, trying to figure out what or who it was.

Then, the being turned around, but they didn't run away. They just... walked closer to him and sniffed him, almost like he was a new creature or something. Feeling offended, Danny spoke.

Danny: "Are you trying to say I smell bad, pal? Because if you ar-"

His sentence got cut off as she lifted her hood, revealing two... fox ears? Woah! Now, this was new to Danny, and she certainly didn't look like any ghost he's ever seen. But was she a ghost like him? Or just a commoner?

?: "You're... different. Like me. But, not in the same way exactly..."

Danny: "Uh, yeah, I could tell."

?: "Forgive me if I seemed rude, I was only checking if you were a good person or not... considering I'm, well, this.

She pointed to her ears, giving him an idea of what she meant.

Danny: "Oh, okay. My apologies. And honestly... I get how you feel, well, somewhat. I know what it's like to be different, at least."

?: "Well, of course you do. But being different is a good thing. We don't have to be the same to be misunderstood..."

Danny felt a strange connection to the hybrid girl, feeling empathy with her as he remembered he forgot to introduce himself.

Danny: "Oh, right, I almost forgot. What's your name? Mine's Danny."

?: "I'm Kyra. It's nice to meet you, Danny."

Kyra caught herself staring into his dashing green eyes, looking away as she realized with a slight blush on her face. She also felt connected to him, seeing as they had similar experiences.

Danny: "So, you might have figured it out already, but I'm half ghost. I fight other ghosts to save my town."

Kyra: "Yes, I know. I've heard all about you, but I wasn't sure if it were truly true. But now I've met you, and it is."

Danny blushed slightly at her praise, smiling proudly.

Danny: "Hey, I have an idea! What about we team up and become super together? I could really use someone like you with me!"

Kyra blushed again, covering her face as she stuttered.

Kyra: "Y-You want me? To fight with you? Really?"

Danny: "Of course! I wouldn't ask anybody else but you."

He winked, only making her blush more. He caught on to her fawning, so he decided to tease her.

Danny: "And I'm glad it'll just be us alone~"

He teased, whispering in her ear with a low voice.

Kyra: "Oh, stop it, you!"

They both giggled as he playfully flirted with her, nudging her arm.

Danny: "Oh? Is that a yes I hear?"

Kyra: "Yes!"

Kyra then hugged him, being a very affectionate person. He flinched slightly at the sudden movement but eventually returned the hug. He pet her on the head as he hugged her, feeling her soft fur against his fingers. It was nice, and it made Kyra purr against his body.

Danny: "Okay, okay. I think that's enough, little foxy. "

Kyra giggled and pulled away, rubbing the back of her neck nervously.

Kyra: "Sorry, it's just, I never met anyone quite like me before..."

Danny: "Hey, I totally get it. Don't apologize."

He smiled warmly, reassuring her that it was okay.

Kyra then followed after Danny as he gestured to come with him, so she did.

Kyra: "Hey, can I show you something?"

Danny: "Sure! What is it?"

Kyra then stopped walking, leaning down into a fox sitting position.

Kyra: "Hop on!"

Danny: "Huh?"

Kyra: "You'll understand when it happens."

Danny: "Uhmm, okay then."

He then climbed onto her back, then was shocked to see a pair of what seemed to be angel wings retract from her back, her feathers stretching out towards the night sky.

She then took off, Danny immediately grabbed onto her so he wouldn't fall off.

As she flew, she glanced her head back a few times to see Danny's expression. He was ecstatic. He loved flying with her. It really brightened his mood.

Danny told her where to go as she navigated the skies, despite being half ghost and not necessarily having to ride on her back. He didn't want to be rude, after all.

They flew to his house, Kyra finally landing as she made sure Danny got off safely.

Danny: "This is where I live."

He then led her into his house, heading to his bedroom.

Danny: "It's late. We should really sleep."

Kyra: "Yeah, you're right."

She said as she lay on the floor, Danny looked at her with a confused and empathetic look.

Danny: "You know, you don't have the sleep on the floor."

Kyra: "But that would mean... are you saying?"

Danny: "Yeah, you can sleep in my bed with me. Don't worry, I don't really care. This is a twin sized bed, after all!"

Kyra chuckled, hesitantly getting into his bed. It was much more comfortable than the floor.

Danny turned to his side, Kyra doing the same. As their backs touched, Kyra blushed again. Danny fell asleep quite quickly, turning in his sleep. He subconsciously wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer. She blushed even more as she was in his grasp. She tried not to think about it and fell asleep, awaiting morning.
