"The school did what?!" Was my mom's reaction when we told her about the school suspending the three of us (not including Jason). Wayne sat with me in the love seat and held my hand (At this point my mom had gotten the hint that we were dating.) Xoey stood to the right of the couch where my mom and Rose were sitting on.

"And the school is doing nothing about her?!" She asked angry.

"We don't know if they will or are going to do anything about Alice." I responded.

"This is absolutely unbelievable." My said as she shook her head.

"I'm just as annoyed." Xoey replied.

"So now what do you guys do?" She asked. I looked around the room and shrugged.

"Nothing I suppose." I replied.

"I'm going to pursue legal action and I would like Chris to be apart of the lawsuit." Wayne told her.

"And I'm totally okay with that." Well that was easy, usually mom needed some sort of convincing but I guess that year she was giving me a break, not to mention my 18th birthday was coming up. I kinda forgot about my birthday to be honest. Wayne turned 18 the summer before senior year, Rose would turn 18 in March and Xoey's 18th birthday was in December.

"Legal action can take a bit, but I don't care. Alice has been a consistent pain." Wayne added.

"Whatever you have to do. I don't mind." Then I suddenly remembered my birthday was coming up, between going to rehab, parties and dealing with Alice it slipped my mind. My mom got up and said,

"Well I'm going to the store, but before I go a word in the kitchen Chris." She began to walk to the kitchen, I got up and let go of Wayne's hand. When I got into the kitchen my mom was at the kitchen island,

"So I was right it was more than a plus one situation." She smirked. She loved being right, and she was right almost all the time.

"No. He asked me out on Halloween, so that legitimately was a plus one situation."

"Suuurre." She said suggestively.

"Mom."

"Daughter, I do not care if you guys are dating, but use protection."

"Mom!" I exclaimed.

"Alright I'm going!" She said as she grabbed her purse.

"Please." I begged.

When I walked into the living room, my mom had just walked out of the door. Xoey, Rose and Wayne had looked at me wondering what was said.

"I don't wanna talk about it." I told them. I sat back down next to Wayne on the loveseat.

"I should probably go." Xoey sighed.

"Why? You hate it there." I reminded her.

"I have to clear the air on some things in my household." She told us.

"Can I grab a ride from you?" Rose asked Xoey.

"Yeah, I don't mind." She replied.

"You're leaving too?" I asked her.

"Yeah I'm absolutely pressed and I'm going to give Alice a piece of my mind when she gets home."

"Okay, well text me when you get home safe, same goes for you Xoey." I told them.
