The new year had started and Draco and I had so far successfully hidden our relationship. We decided to not tell anyone as we didn't want it to get back to my father. We were currently sat deep into the forest on a cool Sunday morning sharing a picnic. "You look so beautiful, Kenny." Draco said, examining my face with a smile spread across his cheeks. We've been together now 2 months and I've never felt so happy. "Wow Draco you're going to make me blush." I giggled. We sat, basking in the sunlight that was very rare in these colder months. I was rugged up in a huge coat and nestled into Draco's shoulder.
"Oh my god Draco, look! It's a unicorn!" I exclaimed. A small baby unicorn that was still gold in colour, stumbled past us further into the woods. I had never seen a baby before, only what Hagrid had described in classes. "I don't really care for silly creatures." Draco muttered. "What?! How could you not like unicorns?"I yelled. "Well if you must know... I served detention in the dark forest Year 1 and we had to look for injured unicorns and it's traumatised me ever since." Draco confessed shyly. "Ohh poor baby Draco, terrified of little baby unicorns!" I teased. "Shutup you." A smirk grew across Draco's face as he pounced on me. I fell backwards, laying against the picnic blanket as he smothered me in kisses. "Ahh! Draco stop, hahahaha!" I giggled uncontrollably.

Spring was fast approaching as the dark forest became bright and lively. Flowers had grown all over the castle grounds and Hagrid was tending to some baby Hippogriffs that had just been born. The downside was exam season was fast approaching. I had not been focusing on my studies whatsoever, my mind had been slightly preoccupied. Dad was breathing down my neck, constantly reminding me to revise. "You will not embarrass me! you had better be at least top 5 in potions young lady!" Snape yelled. "Dad I'm trying!" I argued. I decided it was time to get stuck into some books and put Draco on the back burner for a little while. I sat in the library revising shrinking solutions and how to perfect poison antidotes, which was rather important as Snape had implied he may attempt to poison us in our exams. As I sat in the library next to a pile of books, Daphne came bounding over. "Hey Kenny! Slytherin is throwing a pre exam party tonight, will you attend?" Daphne questioned, excitedly. "Daph I really need to be revising, why on earth would there be a party during this time?" I huffed. "Oh come on! We all need a little break!" Daph pleaded. "Arghh, fine!" I said as I slammed my book closed.
We walked back to the common room to get ready, excited for the night ahead. "I want to look extra good tonight, Ken." Daphne told me. "Blaise has not been paying enough attention to me and I've got to show him what he is missing!" She wiggled her eyebrows. I giggled excitedly. "Well you had better wear 'The Dress'!" I exclaimed. "You're right, Kenny, it's time." Daphne agreed. Daphne had purchased a little black dress weeks ago and had been waiting for it's perfect moment. I decided to also wear a dress; a deep blue spaghetti strap dress and paired it with some black kitten heels. We were both ready after touching up our makeup and we headed downstairs.
The music was blaring through the common room and once again, there was an abundance of fire whiskey stocked at every table. Daph and I grabbed some drinks and headed into the crowd to dance. Theo spun Daphne around and I saw Blaise glaring out of the corner of my eye. I think Daphne's mission was a great success. I continued to shot lots of whiskey as it immediately went to my head. Draco had just walked down the stairs and I couldn't help but smile. He was dressed in a dark blue shirt that matched my dress perfectly, what are the chances? My smile soon turned into a scowl as pugface Parkinson strided over, grabbing Draco's forearm. He looked at her with confusion but she continued to chew his ear off. I walked away, not wanting to see anymore.
"Hey Theo! How's your night going?" I walked over sitting next to him. "Well apparently Blaise is now mad at me for dancing with Daph... I didnt even know he liked her." Theo explained, frustrated. I couldn't help but giggle. "What do you mean? They've clearly liked each other since literally Year 1!" I laughed. "Apparently I'm not very observant..." Theo said as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. Theo and I were chatting away when suddenly my eyes were drawn to a truly horrible sight. Draco. Kissing. Pugface. How on earth could this happen? I stormed out of the common room, straight up to my dorm, slamming the door. Tears welled in my eyes as I threw my books across the room. I curled up on my bed, sobbing, as a knock sounded at the door. "Go away!" I yelled through tears, but Theo barged in anyway. "What's going on, Kenny?" Theo asked sadly. "Malfoy-with p-pansy-" I managed to string together words through my tears. "Well that's one thing I did manage to notice. You and Draco are together, aren't you?" He questioned. I nodded slowly. "Oh shit, I'm so sorry darling." Theo reached out to me and I cried into his shoulder. Well I don't think we are together anymore.
----
A few days had gone by and I'd managed to avoid Draco quite successfully. I had awoken in my dorm and heard a note being slipped under my door. I walked over, opening it.
"Please talk to me, Kenny. Please I don't know what I did wrong. - D"
Don't know what he did wrong?! He had to be joking, does he think I'm stupid? I scrunched up the note yelling "Incendio!" With a flourish of my wand and it burst into flames. I hurriedly got dressed and headed straight to the library to continue with my revision. Today I was tackling Defence Against the Dark Arts. I managed to squeeze in two hours before my classes began. As I headed to Divination, possibly my least favourite subject, I met Blaise in the hallway. "Hey Ken! I've barely seen you lately. How are you?" Blaise asked. I forced a smile and responded, "I'm just busy with revision at the moment so I've spent nearly every spare minute in the library, but I'm good!". "Well I'm glad, just wanted to check in!" Blaise replied. We walked together and climbed the many stairs up to the tower where our Divination class was held.
"Hello children! Today is a very special day as Mars is perfectly aligned!" Professor Trelawney exclaimed. As she drilled on about dark omens and the planets' alignment I began to zone out. All I could think about was Draco and his betrayal. He constantly mentioned his hatred for Pansy and how he deeply regretted seeing her in the past. Now I knew it was all a lie.
As classes came to an end, I once again headed straight to the library, determined to ace my exams. I sat, pouring over page after page of my Divination revision; regardless of the ridiculousness of the subject, I had to do well. I had to know all about planets and there alignment and the effects they have on the outcome of our universe. It was all complete and utter rubbish.
After many hours, I felt someone watching me.
