I had no desire to reply to Bai Mao's nonsensical comments.

But, he wasn’t wrong.

Zhou Miao was definitely giving me a hard time.

Over the past few days, he seemed to have completely let go of himself. He didn’t try to hide anything anymore.

The news that he was pursuing me quickly set off a wave of gossip across the school forums.

Soon, posts like these started popping up:

- "Let’s talk about the campus heartthrob turning gay!"
- "Zhou Miao used to be so straight; what changed?"
- "Come on, with a gay roommate, what do you expect?"
- "I think their kissing story was probably staged by someone."

Before I could finish scrolling, a WeChat message popped up.

It was from Gu Xi:

**"There’s a new space movie out. I heard you love them. Want to watch it together?"**

I thought for a moment before replying: **"I’ve got a lot of coursework lately, might not have time."**

Gu Xi’s voice suddenly sounded from behind me.

**"Lunch, then? Surely you’ve got time for that?"**

I turned around to see him smiling while holding his phone, shaking it playfully.

At the school cafeteria, Gu Xi and I had just gotten our meals and sat down when Zhou Miao walked over.

Without hesitation, he sat next to me and started eating as if nothing was unusual.

Fine, I wouldn’t get mad.

But before I could even take a few bites, another person appeared.

Yue Youyou set down a bottle of drink in front of Zhou Miao, her voice sweet as she asked, **"Zhou Miao, are you coming to tonight’s basketball team party?"**

Zhou Miao coldly pushed the drink away without responding.

Yue Youyou didn’t seem embarrassed and left with a smile.

After lunch, Gu Xi had something to do and left early.

Zhou Miao suddenly produced a bottle of water and offered it to me.

I didn’t take it, just said thanks.

With a low tone, Zhou Miao asked, **"Why?"**

Why, you ask? I wanted to ask the same thing.

Then Zhou Miao added, **"You agree to have lunch with him, but you won’t even drink the water I give you. He and I are both chasing after you."**

He glanced at me, like a tiger that had lost its sharp teeth, now looking pitiful.
