The response I got was the sound of a door slamming.
Yuwen Rui lifted his bed curtain, looking confused. "What's going on so early in the morning?"
Holding back a smile, I said, "Zhou Miao went into the bathroom."
Yuwen Rui yawned, "What was all the noise about?"
When Zhou Miao came out, he was already dressed in pajamas. Yep, the kind that covers every inch of skin, as usual.
I put my backpack down and headed towards the bathroom.
As I passed by Zhou Miao, he suddenly stopped me. "Where are you going?"
I looked at his arm blocking my way, then at his face, still red and steaming from the shower.
"To use the bathroom?"
Zhou Miao's eyes flashed. "It's full of steam, wait a bit."
This was odd. He actually stopped me from going into the bathroom.
When things are unusual, there’s always a reason.
I gave Zhou Miao a once-over.
I could see, visibly, that his neck was turning red all the way to his ears.
Okay, I got it.
It’s normal for guys to be a bit heated early in the morning.

The weekend flew by quickly.
In the afternoon, I was heading to class with a book when someone called out.
"Shen Mo?"
I turned around, and it was a familiar face.
I politely greeted, "Senior."
This senior was Gu Xi, the one who offered me food at the camping trip a few days ago.
Gu Xi walked over and started chatting with me, "What a coincidence! I have class on the third floor. Where are you headed?"
"Fifth floor."
"Full schedule this afternoon?"
"Yeah."
"Do you have time this evening?" Gu Xi asked casually.
I glanced at him. "Yeah, I do."
When Gu Xi smiled, his eyes curved like the warm sun in winter—very gentle.
"Then, could you give me a chance to treat you to dinner?"
I didn’t refuse. "Sure."
After making plans for dinner, we chatted until we reached the third floor and parted ways.
When I looked up again, Zhou Miao was standing at the stairway, staring at me with a cold expression.
What’s his problem?
I ignored him and went straight into the classroom.

That evening, after having dinner with Gu Xi, we exchanged WeChat contacts, and he even walked me to my dorm.
Right then, Bai Mao sent me a sneaky emoji and followed it up with a message:
**[How was the date?]**I replied: **[It was fine.]**
**[Do you like him?]**
**[Not really.]**
**[Just go for it! Get into a relationship soon!]**
