After Soobin left the room, Beomgyu found himself sitting on the edge of his bed, staring at the door. He had just taken a huge step by confiding in his leader, but the relief was quickly replaced by another wave of uncertainty.
He knew what came next.
Telling his leader was one thing, but telling his parents? That was a whole new level. His parents had always been supportive of him, but they also expected transparency and honesty. He could already imagine their reaction if he kept something this significant from them for too long. They deserved to know, but... was it the right time?
Beomgyu's fingers twitched toward his phone. He was torn. Before anything else, he knew there was someone else who needed to be in the loop first—her.
He opened their chat, staring at her last message. It was casual, like any other day. She had no idea about the conversation he just had with Soobin, no idea that his mind was spiralling with the thought of telling more people about their relationship. And the thought of not telling her made him feel guilty. This was something they both had to decide together.
Taking a deep breath, he typed out a quick message.
He stared at the screen, hesitating for a moment before finally hitting send. Almost immediately, his phone buzzed with a reply.
Her concern made his chest tighten. She was always like this — genuine, kind, and thoughtful. It made keeping their relationship private even harder. He wanted the world to know how great she was, but that same desire filled him with dread.
