Amist the chaos of media, and despite of settling the chaos in his own ways, Atharva was tired due to so much pressure and frustration from outside world and was sleeping peacefully with aarav on his bed and aradhya on the couch (for now)...
Sunlight poured through the large windows, casting a soft, golden glow over Atharva's room. The little boy, the star of the family, was just beginning to stir from his sleep. However, there was something unusually clingy about his mood this morning—Aarav, usually full of energy and mischief, had woken up feeling unusually clingy, as if the world outside his bedroom had suddenly become a little too overwhelming. As his eyes fluttered open, he spotted his dadda, Atharva, lying next to him. With a burst of excitement, Aarav scrambled over to his dadda, wrapping his tiny arms around Atharva's chest.
"Dadda!" he exclaimed, his voice soft yet full of joy.
Atharva, still half-asleep, blinked and smiled at the sight of aarav so close. "Good morning, champ," he replied, his voice a soothing rumble.
Instead of responding, Aarav buried his face into Atharva's shirt, snuggling in closer. This was unusual—most of the time, Aarav would be eager to jump out of bed and explore the world, but today, he wanted to be with his Dadda.
After a moment, Atharva gently tried to sit up. "Alright, let's get ready for the day, buddy. Dadda has to go to the office."
But Aarav tightened his grip, shaking his head with determination. "Nooo!" he whined, muffled against Atharva's shirt.
"Really? You don't want me to go?" Atharva asked, raising an eyebrow, amused by his son's stubbornness.
Aarav shook his head even harder. "Dadda no owfice!" he insisted, his little voice rising.
Atharva chuckled, his heart melting. "Okay, okay. I'll stay with you today," he said, giving in easily. How could he resist those big, pleading eyes?
Just then, Aradhya walked into the room, her face lighting up at the sight of them. But as she observed Aarav clinging to Atharva, her smile turned to surprise. "Wow, Aarav! You're really attached to Dadda today!" she teased playfully, not wanting to disrupt the chaos from earlier.
Aarav looked up at her, his big eyes wide. "Dadda !" he declared, tightening his grip on Atharva as if to emphasize his point.
Aradhya laughed softly, shaking her head in mock disbelief. "What about your Mama? Don't you want to hang out with me?"
Aarav turned back to Atharva and leaned in closer, almost hiding behind his father. "No Mama! Dadda onwy!" he insisted, his voice firm and determined.
Aradhya couldn't help but giggle at her son's adorable stubbornness. "Oh really? So, I'm just chopped liver, huh?" she asked, pretending to pout.
Aarav giggled at her expression, but then his tiny face turned serious. "Mama, Dadda ttay," he replied, pointing to Atharva and clearly not wanting to change his mind.
Atharva chuckled, enjoying the playful banter. "Looks like you're outnumbered today, Aradhya," he said, ruffling Aarav's hair affectionately.
Ayaan, Atharva's younger brother, then bounced into the room, full of his usual energy. "Good morning, bhai! And good morning to my favorite little buddy!" he called out, arms wide open for a hug.
But Aarav didn't even look at him. He was glued to Atharva, still holding on tightly. Ayaan tried again, waving a bright red toy car in front of Aarav's face. "Look! Your favorite car!"
Aarav glanced at the toy briefly but quickly turned back to Atharva, clutching him even more. "Nooo! Dadda onwy!" he said louder this time.
"Looks like you're out of luck today too, Ayaan," Atharva chuckled, smiling at Aradhya as they shared a knowing glance.
