After tucking the letter into her pocket, finishing her cigarette (and another), and shoving her feet into her shoes, Matilda made her way down to the Common Room. Students were scattered about, studying, playing games, or lounging on the couches. She received a few congratulatory remarks and high-fives for the game yesterday, but she didn't linger. She stayed just long enough to avoid seeming rude, then slipped out of the Common Room at the first opportunity.

Stumbling out into the corridor, Matilda placed her hands in her pockets and began making her way down to the Great Hall, only to stop short in place. Further down the corridor was a group of trolls, menacingly walking the hallway and comparing each other's clubs. Careful not to draw attention to herself, she took a few quiet steps back towards the portrait.

"They're just security trolls," said the Fat Lady. "I didn't want to be left here alone. You know, in case Black shows up again."

Matilda nodded, "Oh, um...that explains it."

Apprehensively, Matilda continued on her way to the Great Hall, nervous as she passed a great, stinking troll who eyed her suspiciously. The joints of her body were beginning to stiffen with the moon being just over a week away, and Matilda found herself grateful for having stuffed the letter in her pocket since it also contained the teabags of aconite.

When she entered the Hall, Matilda didn't have a chance to even orientate herself before she was dragged along into a seat. She swayed a moment as her head caught up with her movements and then looked at the faces looking at her.

"Oh, great. It's you lot."

"Tsk tsk, Tilly," George said, buttering up a few pieces of toast and placing them on the plate in front of her. "That's no way to speak to the twin of your lover or his best friend."

Lee nodded his head, "You should be thanking us, actually."

"Thanking you? For what? And he's not my lover."

"For giving you two alone time, duh!" George said. He tapped the plate. "Come on, eat up."

Reluctantly picking up a piece of toast, Matilda took a bite. She chewed it and forced herself to swallow, trying to mute the words playing in her head. Failed. You failed. And so early in the day? Absolutely pathetic. All the while, Lee and George were still watching her. "What do you want?"

"Well?!" Lee asked, his eyes practically bulging from his face.

"I don't know what you want me to say," Matilda said, taking another small bite. "There's nothing to tell."

George sighed, "That bloody bastard. I gave him the perfect opportunity and he does shit all...I saw you two this morning and thought, well, you know." He pushed his hands together.

Matilda could feel her face turn scarlet. "Look, I don't remember much from last night, but I can assure you nothing happened between us."

"Then why the fuck were you two cuddling like that?!" Lee threw his hands up in exasperation. He leaned forward, resting his chin in his hand. "You two have the weirdest relationship ever."
