"Cain, do you have time? Come and accompany me." She said gently. I was furious at that moment and answered in a rough voice, "Sorry, my lady. I'm busy!"

Her voice was sweeter. "It's okay. If you look up at your head now, I think Cain will change his mind." I frowned and looked up curiously, suddenly shocked. That guy Xanthe had gone to the top of that building when I didn't notice it. She climbed out of the fence and stood dangerously on a very shallow edge of the building.
I was so scared that my cold sweat came out immediately. "Don't move, don't move!" I shouted while running to the back stairs as fast as possible and climbing up. The wind is very strong! With one kick on the door of the roof, I stretched my hand towards her eagerly.
"Don't come near me." Xanthe took a step back.
"No, don't do anything stupid!" I shouted at her anxiously. "What's bothering you? You can tell me. We'll talk it over and find a solution to any problem."
"No, there is no one who can help me." She shook her head sadly.
"What is it?" I was very nervous, suddenly had a flash of inspiration in my mind and said as softly as possible: "Is it because of Chloe's death? You know that I have investigated and found out that you scared her to death. So you are afraid that I will expose you? Don't worry, I swear I won't do so. You're still my fiancee, right!"
Xanthe was stunned, suddenly she burst out laughing and laughed so hard that tears came down her eyes. "It turns out, it turns out I am such a shameless person in your heart. It turns out all along you thought my saying I like you is fake just to confuse your investigation of truth. Ha ha, Cain, you have been fooled by me! I'm not that great."
Looking at her face, I was confused again. Did Fay deceive me again? No, she had no reason to do so. And if Xanthe didn't die for this reason, then why did she act like that? It's too confusing. But now obviously is not a good time to provoke her. I sighed helplessly and said softly, "I never thought of it that way, you are overthinking!" Then I took another step forward.
"No, don't come over." Xanthe leaned back and scared me so much that I dared not move. She shook her head bitterly and smiled: "I know in your heart I am very lowly and unworthy of trust. But I still want to tell you, Chloe was already there when we went.
"It's dead."
"I believe, I absolutely believe you!" I answered in a hurry. The wind on top of the building was getting stronger and stronger, and Xanthe's white dress and black hair were fluttering in the wind. Her figure seemed to be about to fall apart, although it had an indescribable beauty that moved my heart deeply, but for some reason, I felt terrified when looking at her, afraid she would be blown down by the wind.
"You don't believe me at all!" Xanthe, who was always soft-spoken, shouted loudly. She looked despairingly at me and then lowered her voice again: "Cain, when did we start to become like this? You always doubt me, resist me, even hate me. Why? Am I really so repulsive?"
"I don't hate you, I like you too much. You are overthinking." I said anxiously.
"Do you like me?" she asked in a low voice, excited.
"Of course, I like you. I love it!" As I said this, I wanted to get closer to her again. Xanthe seemed to have read my mind and pretended to retreat slightly backward with a mysterious smile on her face. She sweetly said behind me, "You heard that right, Cain likes me. He likes me. Please don't bother us anymore!"
Damn it! Did she trick me again? I slowly turned my head and saw a familiar figure. A familiar figure that was already stunned.
She, it is.

"Cain, do you remember elementary school?" Xanthe didn't pay any attention to my embarrassed expression and said softly, "At that time we were in the same school and class. I always sat behind you and stared at you every day. Do you remember that back then, you already liked asking questions, you were a top student among your peers but loved pretending to be stupid. For some reason, whenever I see such you, I want to bite you."
Xanthe laughed, looking up at me. "Maybe it's because I fell in love with you from that moment on. Your cunningness, your ruthlessness, everything about you. I loved you so much when I saw you again that I was ecstatic. I swear to God I will never let anyone take you away from my side! No matter what!"
I felt numb all over my body, and for the first time in history, my mind was so chaotic. Thousands of thoughts piled up on me like tons of weight, making it difficult to breathe. I gasped for breath but couldn't even say a word. Strange! What's wrong with myself?
Xanthe continued to speak softly with her unique voice, "Cain, you really are very similar to me. We're both selfish and will do anything to achieve our goals. Remember that summer in third grade? I miss it so much. Back then we usually bought a bottle of soda together, but you always got the most without any effort at all, haha, Cain, you're really good at playing tricks!"
I was silent. Yes, when I was young, I really liked to take advantage of others' small gains, but that were just some trivial pranks. For some reason, suddenly felt very disgusted and guilty. Did my actions really have no difference from Xanthe's? My heart began to tear up, I covered my chest with my hands, and lowered my head in despair.
ii"No, no! Cain is not like you!" She suddenly became agitated and exclaimed in anger, "At least Cain has friends. You don't have any!"
"Yes, friend! I still have friends!" A light suddenly appeared in front of me. I raised my head sharply and saw Xanthe laughing coldly: "That's because Cain is too good at acting. And he doesn't understand that he doesn't need any friends." She smiled: "There are only two kinds of people in this world, those above others and those below them. The former don't have friends; they just need strangers who can be used. Cain will definitely belong to the first kind."
"You're lying, you don't know anything about Cain." He glared at her fiercely and said, "What's superior to people and inferior to people. It is just your biased opinion. You want to impose your own views on Cain, but in fact, you don't understand him at all."
"I don't know Cain?" Xanthe was stunned, suddenly laughing uproariously as if she had heard a great joke. "Of course I understand him, even better than himself. Since childhood, I have been studying my fiancee. I analyze his personality, his likes and dislikes, every smile and frown. I try to change myself into the type he likes so that he can feel my love for him at any time. I will give up everything for him, including my life. Even now, I am still changing myself according to his preferences."
Oh my God, I was shocked. Did Xanthe really love me that much?!
"Don't be silly!" She walked towards Xanthe angrily, pointing at her nose and shouting loudly, "No matter how you change, Cain will never like you. He told me personally that he hates you even fears you. What you have done is wrong!"
Xanthe was stunned. She looked at me and asked softly, "Is it true? Cain, no matter what I do for you, will you not like me?"
I was speechless, neither nodding nor shaking my head. Xanthe's eyes suddenly filled with despair and she lowered her head in silence for a long time. Suddenly, she glared at me fiercely and shouted hysterically, "It's you! It's that stinky woman! If it weren't for you, Cain wouldn't hate me anymore. He belongs to me, and I won't let anyone take him away!" Xanthe grabbed his neck close by, squeezing hard without any hesitation, causing him to immediately cough painfully.
"What are you doing!" I was shocked and hurriedly ran over to stop her. Xanthe shouted loudly, "Cain, don't come near me or else I'll pull her down with me!"
I stopped immediately. Damn it! In this situation, my mind was in a mess and I couldn't think of any solution. Coughing continuously, her face twisted painfully. She desperately opened her mouth to say something to me, but finally no sound came out at all.
Xanthe smiled at me, "Cain, wait for a moment. We are going to be together forever." I don't want to separate from you again!
"I also want to be with you!" I said in a panic, sweating profusely. "But do you know what you're doing now? You are killing people and going to jail!"
"I don't care, I must kill this woman!" Xanthe said with a pouty face. "Otherwise you will never change your mind!"
"No!" I shook my head nervously, "Let her go quickly! Are you crazy?" Suddenly a voice came from behind me, "This is not her. She has been possessed by this building."
I was surprised to see that it was Alex. He nodded at me and whispered, "Not now is the time for explanation. You try your best to attract her attention while I go around back to push them in."
"It's too dangerous. I should go!" I pulled him and shook my head vigorously. The old man looked at me, "My bones are not attractive to that girl. This building can only arouse people's desires in their hearts, so you alone can attract her. And, humph, that thing, I can't just sit by and watch it do whatever it wants anymore!"
