Whether she was her true mother or not, Shanna was still the woman who raised Suzy throughout the years, filling the role of both mother and father.

To Suzy, who never got the chance to be "daddy's little girl," Shanna had always been her rock, standing strong and doing everything for her.

That's why Suzy found herself sitting early in the morning at her mother's hotel, waiting anxiously.

"Please have some tea, milady," Ms. Lee, her mother's secretary, offered politely. "Ma'am will finish her meeting in a few minutes."

"Thank you, Miyeon-ssi," Suzy replied with a small smile, though her heart wasn't quite in it.

She glanced around the office, a slight smile playing on her lips as she took in the room.

Shanna had kept it exactly the same as always—neatly organized, with a touch of Shanna's unique style.

"How is Mom not embarrassed by this?" Suzy chuckled quietly to herself, noticing the pink hearts decorating her mother's desk.

Unable to resist, she stood up and wandered over, her fingers lightly brushing across the old framed drawing she had made when she was just five years old.

"I was really bad at drawing," Suzy murmured, picking up the frame and examining the stick-figure family with oversized heads.

She laughed softly at how awkwardly they were drawn.

"Sweetheart!" Shanna called out, rushing into the office, a little out of breath. "Did something happen?".

Startled, Suzy quickly set the frame down, clearing her throat. "No, nothing happened," she replied, scratching the back of her neck.

"I just... wanted to have lunch with you."

Shanna's eyes lit up with surprise and excitement.

"Really? You really want to eat lunch with me?" she asked with a wide grin, her expression softening.

Suzy nodded awkwardly. "If you're not too busy..."

"I'm free," Shanna cut in quickly before Suzy could finish her sentence. "I'm all yours."

"But you still have meetings," Suzy protested, glancing at Ms. Lee, who smiled and gave her a reassuring nod.

"Yes, ma'am is free, milady."

Suzy hurriedly grabbed her bag from the couch.

"This is for you," she said shyly, thrusting a bouquet of flowers toward Shanna.

"Oh, sweetheart," Shanna smiled warmly, accepting the flowers. "Thank you so much for the gift."

"Ms. Lee, take a picture of us!" Shanna made a peace sign, catching the secretary off guard.
Suzy blushed.

"Mom... I'm hungry! We should get going," she said, turning away to hide her embarrassment.

"Okay, let's go," Shanna chuckled, walking out with her. Suzy suddenly stopped, tugging on the hem of her dress.

"Mom... I'm sorry for overreacting before," she whispered.

Shanna's eyes softened at her daughter's sincere apology. "It's not that I hate you... It's just... finding out that I'm not your real daughter was hard," Suzy admitted, her voice trembling slightly.

Shanna's heart skipped a beat at Suzy's words. She still doesn't know the whole truth, she thought, relieved but saddened by the secret she continued to hold.
