Haneul High was the pinnacle of prestige, a fortress of wealth and power nestled in the heart of Seoul. The school's name echoed through elite circles, a place where only the richest could afford to send their children.

Ornate gates shimmered with golden accents, welcoming students into a world where money reigned supreme.

Parents would sacrifice anything—sometimes even their own pride —to secure a spot here. It wasn't just about education; it was a status symbol.

Shanna sat in the front row of the grand auditorium, her fingers nervously biting at her nails while watching Seokkyung take the stage.

The spotlight washed over her, illuminating her as she began to sing an opera piece that filled the room with haunting beauty. Instead of being swept away by the music, Shanna's mind became a storm of resentment and envy.

Seokkyung was practically flawless, her voice soaring while she bathed in the adoration of the audience.

Shanna couldn't help but notice Nishimura Hiro, sitting in the front row with his eyes glued to Seokkyung.

He cheered loudly, a wide grin on his face, completely enamored by her performance. The sight of him made Shanna's blood boil.

How does she even have friends?Sending him a sharp side-eye, she thought, As if she needs any more attention.

Thoughts spiraled out of control. What does he see in that talentless brat? Shaking her head, Shanna tried to push the bitterness down, but it clawed its way back up.

Everyone knows her father bribes the judges. This isn't real talent; it's just another play in the game of wealth and influence.

As applause erupted around her, Shanna felt more alone than ever. The weight of expectations pressed heavily on her chest.

Her family, descended from royal blood, was supposed to mean something, yet here she was, fighting for her place in a world that seemed to favor the superficial.

Aiko appeared, accompanied by Shanna's brother, Kaito.

They walked through the crowded aisle, their faces painted with excitement.

There she was.

Aiko embodied everything Shanna felt she wasn't—kind, talented, and effortlessly likable.
Reaching Shanna, Aiko's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm.

"Hi nana—Did you see Seokkyung? She was amazing!" Aiko beamed, her genuine admiration evident.

Shanna forced a smile, feeling more like a grimace.

"Yeah, amazing," she echoed, her voice lacking warmth.

"You're up next right kid" Kaito chuckles, pulling out something from his pocket which was a star shaped ruby necklace.

"We just want you to know that you'll always be our little star in our heart" Aiko pinches her cheeks with a grin.

Shanna's eyes wavers, her heart getting heavier as she slowly grabs the necklace with a small smile.

"Thank you.."

"You should get going now" Aiko ushers her to get up,softly pushing her from the back to backstage.

Shanna took a deep breath, walking inside backstage as she made eye contact with Seokkyung who just finished her performance.

"If isn't this my princess" Seokkyung looks at her with a mocking smirk, putting her hands on her shoulders gripping it tight "Hope you do well Shanna".
