Weiying led Wangji through the winding paths of the garden, the soft glow of lanterns casting a warm light on their path. The laughter and chatter from the wedding hall seemed to fade into the background, leaving them in their own little world. Wangji kept his gaze fixed on Weiying, a soft smile playing on his lips, even as he tried to keep up with Weiying's brisk pace.

They reached a secluded alcove adorned with blooming flowers and a small, serene pond. Weiying stopped and turned to face Wangji, who looked at him with a mixture of curiosity and anticipation. Weiying's teasing smile had faded, replaced by a more sincere expression.

"Alright, Wangji," Weiying said, his tone softening. "I've been thinking about how you're going to make it up to me."

Wangji stepped closer, reaching out to gently take Weiying's hand. "I'm all ears."

Weiying's gaze dropped to their entwined hands. "I want us to make more time for each other. No more disappearing acts, okay? We need to be there for each other, no matter what."

Wangji nodded solemnly, his eyes never leaving Weiying's. "I promise. I'll make every moment count. Just tell me what you need."

Weiying took a deep breath, feeling the weight of Wangji's words. "How about a little something to celebrate this moment? A picnic here in the garden, just the two of us?"

Wangji's eyes lit up with genuine delight. "That sounds perfect."

Weiying's eyes twinkled mischievously again. "Great. I want a basket full of our favorite snacks and a blanket for us to sit on."

Wangji chuckled. "Consider it done."

As Wangji made arrangements for the picnic, Weiying sat by the pond, letting the tranquility of the evening wash over him. The gentle rustling of leaves and the distant sound of wedding festivities created a peaceful ambiance. When Wangji returned, carrying a carefully packed basket and a cozy blanket, Weiying's heart swelled with affection.

They spread the blanket under a canopy of twinkling fairy lights, enjoying a simple yet delightful meal. They talked about their dreams, their future, and the little things that made them happy. Wangji's thoughtful attention and genuine affection made Weiying feel cherished, and the earlier teasing gave way to heartfelt conversations and shared laughter.

As the evening wore on, Wangji took Weiying's hand once more, gazing into his eyes with unwavering sincerity. "I want to build a future with you, Wei Ying. I want to be there for you every step of the way."

Weiying's heart melted at Wangji's words. "And I want the same. I'm glad we're on this journey together."

Under the stars, with the gentle hum of the garden as their backdrop, they sealed their promises with a tender kiss, both looking forward to the future they would build together.
