The atmosphere at the wedding was buzzing with excitement, but Weiying's thoughts were elsewhere. His sister's wedding should have been a moment of joy, but all he could think about was Wangji and the two days of silence that had stretched between them. Why hasn't he called me? He sighed, trying to push those thoughts away, focusing on the celebration around him.

Just then, he heard a familiar voice. "Wei Ying."

Weiying spun around and saw Wangji standing at the entrance of the hall, looking as calm and composed as ever. The sight of him after those days of absence made Weiying's heart race, but he quickly masked his feelings with an exaggerated pout. He dares to show up now?

Wangji walked straight toward him, ignoring the stares of the guests, and before Weiying could react, Wangji knelt on one knee, his eyes never leaving Weiying's. The entire hall fell silent as everyone turned to witness the spectacle.

"Wei Ying, I cannot wait any longer," Wangji said, his voice clear and steady. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"

Weiying felt a jolt of joy explode inside him. He's proposing! His heart screamed yes, but his mischievous side took over. He crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow as he looked down at Wangji.

"Hmm... marry you? You've ignored me for two whole days, and now you think you can just waltz in here and propose?" Weiying's lips curled into a teasing smile, though his heart was racing with happiness. He could see the slightest hint of panic in Wangji's eyes, but the man remained composed.

"I had to finish work," Wangji explained, still kneeling. "I wanted to ensure that when I came to you, I would have no distractions, only you."

Weiying pretended to think, tapping his chin dramatically. "Oh, distractions? And what if I don't want to marry someone who leaves me hanging for two days?"

A soft chuckle rippled through the crowd, and even Weiying's sister watched in amusement. Wangji stood up, his face calm but with a slight crease of worry. He stepped closer to Weiying, lowering his voice so only they could hear. "I know you're teasing me. But Wei Ying, I am serious. My heart is yours, now and always."

Weiying couldn't hold back any longer. His eyes softened, but he wasn't ready to give in just yet. "Well, I suppose I could forgive you... if you make it up to me properly."

Wangji smiled. "Anything you ask."

Weiying's heart fluttered. How can he be so perfect? But instead of answering, he simply turned away and started walking towards the garden, throwing a final teasing remark over his shoulder. "Let's see how well you make up for it then, Wangji."

The crowd burst into laughter, and Wangji, with a soft smile, followed after Weiying, knowing full well that he had already won his heart.
