JADE IS AT THE TOP. Good morning. I've officially decided to post shorter chapters but post more often. I'm still not sure when I will post but I'm trying to stay to the schedule of posting everyday. Enjoy the chapter. :)

Ding dong. I run to the door and slip in the process."Be careful!" My father yells from the other room.
I pick myself up and open the door. "Caesar?"
"Surprise?"
I peek behind my back and step outside with him and close the door. "What are you doing at my house?"
"Do you realize you're locked out of your house, right?"
"Shit," I mumble.
He laughs at this. "I was going to ask if you want to go on a walk with me."
"A walk?"
"Yeah."
"Um, okay."
"Alright, this way," he says, waving his hand to the sidewalk.
"So, where do you live?"
"Canter street. It's a couple of houses behind yours."
"Okay... why did you want to go on a walk with me?"
"I don't really know to be honest. Felt like it? Um, I just find you entertaining."
"Oh, okay. How flattering!" I say jokingly.
He chuckles. "Well, wanna go to the park?" he asks pointing to a park on the other side of the road.
"Okay," I say as we walk across the road.
"So, who do you hang out with at school?"
Oh crap. I don't even have friends. The only friend I have is Mallory. But we don't really talk, we just exchange smiles in the hallway and occasionally talk about school work and school lunches. Does she count? "Mallory."
"Oh, I know who she is but I've never talked to her before. Who else?"
"Um, that's all," I say embarrassed.
"Maybe I could introduce you to some of my friends."
"Oh, that'd be great," I say enthusiastically.
"Do you know who Bruce is?" he asks as he climbs a ladder up to a wooden platform that's connected to a slide. I climb up with him.
"Um, I think so. He's in our geometry class too, right?
"Yeah, he's cool." he says, climbing onto the platform and sitting on it.
"You're not going to slide?" I ask climbing up after him and sitting next to him.
"Nah, so do you want to sit with my group of friends during lunch tomorrow? You could bring Mallory if you would like."
"Sure."
"Caesar! Mom wants you home! She said you didn't finish the laundry." A girl with pink hair and ripped jeans and a Pink Floyd tank climbs up the ladder and looks me up and down. "What do we have here? A couple of love birds?" she laughs. She looks about 17.
"Get out of here Jade," Caesar says while pretend pushing her down the ladder. "How did you know I was here?"
"Because you're always here. It's like your sacred temple or something," she says waving one hand in the air and the other gripping the ladder.
"Fine. I'll go home. Just leave, please," he says, standing up. I do the same.
"You expect me to leave and not introduce me to your new girlfriend?"
"She's not my girlfriend! Her name is Ariel."
"Hey," I say casually.
"Hey... oh and also, don't trust him. He's just trying to get people to join his cult."
"Get out of here," Caesar grumbles, eyeing his sister. I just laugh.
