I want to add more romance but like Ariel's mother just died. So I feel that is really wrong for some reason... is it? I don't know. Please comment. -Planetary

"Hey Ariel."
"Hello," I nearly whisper.
"..."
"..."
"Um... is everything okay?"
I take a deep breath. "Um, not really."
"Want to talk about it?"
"Not really."
"Okay."
We walk in silence to the school building. His hand brushes mine lightly on accident. We keep walking.

We're walking back home now. We don't speak. It's a nice silence. It's very comforting. And I feel the urge to tell him what happened.
"Family emergency."
"..."
"That's why I left your house... I mean."
He opens his mouth and closes it quickly, like he was about to ask something. He's hesitant. "Do you mind if I were to ask what the emergency was."
"No. My mother got in a car accident."
He didn't ask any further. He grabs my hand and holds it the rest of the way to our homes. I felt myself blushing the whole time.
