regina part 3

no one's pov

gretchen and karen had left about a hour ago but promised they'd be back as soon as they could. reginas mom had fell asleep not to long ago billie had been sat there since, waiting for any sign of an update.

she looked over at her drink seeing it was empty and walked over to the vending machine to get a new drink. she checked her phone as she walked it was around 11pm and there was still no update.

she inserted some quarters before pushing the buttons and bending down to collect her drink. she opened it and took a sip as she walked back to their seats, reginas mom was still asleep.

she watched people silently as she continued to slowly drink her juice. every now and then her eyes would wander to reginas door, hoping to see her stood there though she never was.

she went back to watching nurses walking in and out of rooms and people trying to talk to them or family on the phone. it was quieter now, for a hospital anyway.

she heard a door open and looked over to see it was reginas door.

a doctor walked over to her and reginas mom, who was still quietly sleeping next to her. "I'm doctor darien michaels, are you regina georges family?" he asked "uh yeah- yes" she cleared her throat, sitting up straighter "y-yeah um yeah I am" she swallowed awkwardly

"I have an update on her" billie stared at him impatiently "she's awake bu-" "-is she okay?" she interrupted him, he lets out a soft sigh

"she isn't going to be awake for long" he said "oh yeah no sleeps important I get th-" "-no..." he paused looking at her, she looked back for a minute before understanding "oh um billie- billie samules hi" she nodded

"hello, unfortunately.. that is not what I mean miss samules" he pushed his glasses up as he looked at her "what else could you mean?" she laughs nervously

he opened his mouth to talk again
