meeting my family

*beep beep beep*

I groan as I hear an alarm going off, I roll over as Cam shuts it off and yawns before looking at me. He laughs as he tells me I look like a zombie. I just roll my eyes and say "again i'm not a morning person plus I need my beauty sleep." He gets up and turns the light on and starts getting ready. I try to fall back asleep while he gets ready and I pull the blankets over my head.

I'm woken up by Cam yanking the blanket off and jumping on me telling me I only have 15 minutes to get ready before we have to leave. I jump up and say "Cam why did you let me sleep so late" as I rush to my suitcase. He laughs at me and says he was just being nice letting me sleep longer. I pick out leggings and a light blue cropped t shirt that says California on it and head to the bathroom. I quickly brush my teeth and get dressed and thrown my hair into a messy bun.

I walk out of the bathroom and put on my light blue vans and finish packing my suitcase. Cam helps me bring our bags down the stairs and we see a sleepy looking Hayes and Nash sitting on the couch. We get everything loaded into the truck and hop in and start heading to the airport. I take a quick picture of Hayes half asleep leaning on my shoulder and caption it "gonna miss seeing my hayesie for a few days🙁🩷". It feels like not even 5 minutes went by as we pull up to the airport and I sigh. Hayes squeezes my hand reassuringly and gives a small smile while I lean my head on him.

We all get out to grab bags and we walk inside to get checked in. Me and Cam get our tickets and go through bag check. Once we get through we go to meet Hayes and Nash as they sit with us and wait until we board on the plane before they leave. After a few minutes they call our number to board the plane, I turn towards nash and give him a hug "I'll see you in a few days Nashty" I saw with a small smile. He hugs me back and laughs saying he will see us soon and have a safe trip. I turn to Hayes and give him a big hug "I'll see you in a few days too Hayesieboo" as I kiss him on the cheek. He gives me a sad smile as he hugs me back "I'll miss you but it's only a few days, plus you get to meet your family!" he says trying to cheer both of us up. I smile back at him before waving to the both of them as Cam and I walk towards the tunnel to get on our plane.

After we get settled in our seats I start to get nervous, I've never been on a plane before and a plane crash is one of my top fears. I look at Cam as he is looking at me with a worried expression "Em are you okay, your looking kind of pale"he asks me. I tell him I'm nervous and it's my first time flying. He reassures me that it's going to be okay and holds my hand as the plane starts to take off. I look out the window once we are in the air and I gasp at how beautiful the sunrise is and take a quick picture and post it on my social medias with the caption "going home❤️". I look over at Cam and he's already eating snacks and I just laugh at him and video him sending it to the MC group chat. I get comfy and take a nap to hopefully make this plane ride go by faster.

I wake up to the flight attendant saying make sure everyone has a seatbelt on as we are landing in Houston TX. I see that Cam is just waking up from a nap as well, he yawns as he looks over at me and squeezes my hand. "When I first starting flying on planes, I would get nervous about the landing part." he said as he gave me a smile and kept holding my hand. I smiled back at him and thanked him "I really appreciate it Cammy." The turbulence starts getting rougher as we get lower to the ground and I instantly squeeze Cam's hand tighter and close my eyes. After a few minutes I feel the plane hit the ground and my nerves go away.

After the plane parks at the tunnel, Cam and I start getting up to stretch and walk off the plane. We find the baggage claim and wait for our luggage, as we see our luggage getting closer, I get a facetime from Hayes and I smile as I answer the call. Cam grabs our luggage and I follow him to go get our tickets for the next flight as I say laughing "Are you already missing me Hayesieee?" Hayes smiles cheeky and says "Maybeee".

As we get in line for our tickets Cam leans in closer so Hayes can see him and asks "What about me Hayesie Poo, are you missing me yet?" Hayes starts fake crying as he answers "Yes Cammy bear Im missing you so much!" I just laugh and roll my eyes when I see Nash running towards Hayes in the background yelling "Oh my god are you talking to my Cammy bae without me?!" We start laughing as we reach the stand and the lady gives us our tickets. Then we find chairs to sit and wait until we get our tickets get called to board the plane.

"How was the first flight?" Hayes and Nash ask, I answer telling them it was my first time flying but we both slept through most of the flight. We continue to talk until our tickets get called. "Okay we have to go but I'll call you when we get in Cali" I tell Hayes and Nash and we say our goodbyes. Can and I start walking through the tunnel to board the second plane. I start smiling thinking about when we land I'll be able to meet my real family.

We find our seats and I'm sitting by the window again, we go through the whole taking off process again while Cam holds my hand the whole time. I mainly just look at the window majority of the flight. I get on snapchat and see that Cam took a picture of me looking out the window with the caption "getting little sis used to plane rides ✅" I smile as I take a selfie of us and post it with the caption "best brother everrr ☺️❤️" After about 35 minutes the flight attendant announces we are about to land. I start feeling nervous and excited about meeting my mom and sister, I feel Cam grab my hand and squeeze it asking if I'm okay. I nod and answer "just a little anxious to meet mom and sierra."

As we land and the plane pulls up to the tunnel Cam tells me that we are gonna drive his Jeep to the house where mom and sierra are. I nod and we get up and walk off the plane. We head to the baggage claim and wait for our luggage, when we find it we grab it and head out to go find Cams jeep. I follow him as he unlocks it and he loads our luggage in the back seat. I hop in the passenger seat and decide to facetime Hayes to let him know we are heading to the house now.

"Emmaboooo are you missing me now?" he asks smirking. I just laugh and answer "Maybeeee" then I tell him we are in Cams Jeep driving to the house. We talk for a few more minutes before I hear his mom call for him downstairs so we hang up after he says he will text me later to see how it went meeting my family. As I'm looking out the window Cam is telling me what everything is as we pass. After 15 minutes we pull into a fancy looking neighborhood and my eyes get wide. "We live in this neighborhood?" I ask Cam and he nods while laughing.

We pull up into the driveway as I just sit in awe looking at our house "Wow this is absolutely gorgeous." Cam laughs at me again and asks if I'm ready to go in or if I want to wait a few minutes for my nerves to go down. I decide we should just go in, so we unload our luggage and walk up to the door. I take a deep breath as Cam opens it for me, I slowly walk in and see decorations and a banner that says "WELCOME HOME EMMA!" I immediately smile and all of my nerves go away as I see my mom and sister standing in the living room.

My emotions start acting up and I start bawling as I run to them and hug them both so tight. Cam comes and joins in on the hug and we sit there for a good 5 minutes just hugging, as we pull away we all notice eachother crying with joy. We all sit and just talk for hours getting to know eachother and telling stories. I check my phone and see that it's already 10pm and I start to yawn. My mom noticed and apologizes "I'm so sorry sweetie, we don't have your room set up yet but we can go shopping tomorrow for furniture" I smile and tell her it's totally okay and I understand. Cam tells me I can sleep in his bed for tonight and I smile and say thanks.

Cam leads me upstairs to his room so I can change into pajamas, after I change I check my phone and see that Hayes texted me. I call him and he answers immediately. "Why are you still awake isn't it like past midnight there?" I ask him as he nods and smiles. "I wanted to see how it went meeting your family" I just smile and tell him everything, Cam sent me a video that he secretly took of me walking in the house so I sent that to Hayes. He smiles so big and starts tearing up as he says "I'm so happy for you Em, I know how nervous you were feeling about meeting them." I smile and agree with him and we talk for a few more minutes before Hayes starts to fall asleep on the phone. I smile at how cute he is and take a screenshot before setting my phone up on Cam's nightstand and fall asleep on facetime with Hayes.
