The Move

First Day of School

*beep beep beep*

I wake up and shut my alarm off as I roll my eyes at the thought of school starting today. I roll over and see Hayes looking at me as he says "can't we just stay in bed all dayyy?" and he wraps his arms around. I smile and snuggle into his arms until Cam knocks on the door before opening it.

"School todayyyy!" he shouts as Hayes and I groan and get up to start getting ready. Hayes heads to the bathroom to take a quick shower while I pick out my outfit. I decide on my gray cropped tank with my black jeans as I quickly change. I put on my black and white jordan's before walking to my vanity to curl my hair.

While I'm curling my hair Hayes comes out the bathroom already dressed in khakis and his red and black polo shirt. I finish up my hair and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. After I quickly do my makeup before putting some body spray on. Hayes puts his shoes on and we grab our bags before heading downstairs.

We see Cam and Nash sitting at the island eating pancakes. "Did you make any for us?" Hayes asks as we're both drooling over the food. They laugh as they say they already made plates for us. Hayes and I sit with them and eat our breakfast before it's time to leave.

We head to the Jeep and all hop in as we all jam out to the music. We pull up to school and Hayes and I both sigh before saying our goodbyes. Cam and Nash tell us to have a good day and they love us as we say the same back to them before hopping out. As Hayes and I start walking towards the doors we see Katie and Liam running towards us.

"Goodmorning!" they wave as they catch up to us and we tell them goodmorning back. We all head to our lockers and put our stuff away before heading to first hour. Luckily we all get to sit by eachother in the back of the class and talk until the teacher stands up to introduce herself. We all go around the class introducing ourselves (typical first day things). After I introduce myself I notice a few girls giving me a stare or rolling their eyes at me as I sit back down in my seat.

"Already making enemies?" Katie jokes as she notices the girls also and I just roll my eyes and laugh with her. The bell rings to go to second hour and as we're walking out the three girls walk up to me. I give them a small smile as they roll their eyes and shove past me causing me to bump into Hayes. He just gives them a questioning look before asking me if i'm okay and I just nod in response.

The bell finally rings for lunch as we walk to the cafeteria and find a table to sit at with Katie and Liam. We all talk about how our days are going so far and Allie walks up to us with a shocked expression. "What's up?" I ask her as she sits at the table and she looks at me and says "I overheard some girls talking about you.." I then have the same shocked face as she did. "What were they saying?" Katie asks as she looks around trying to figure out who it would be and she gasps before turning to us saying it was probably the girls from first hour and their friends.

"They were saying how you are probably such a slut for always hanging around guys even though you act innocent. You shouldn't even be popular, people only like you because of your brother." Allie tells us what she heard and tells us who it was. I just sigh and roll my eyes thinking how I'm ready for the day to be over with. We figure out it was the girls from first hour and apparently they are "the mean girls" at school. "Don't let them affect you babe, you know none of it's true and they are just jealous." Hayes smiles at me before giving me a quick kiss and I nod and smile back at him.

We head off to our next class and find our seats and realize that "the mean girls" aren't in this class as I let our a sigh of relief I didn't realize I was holding in. The announcements come on saying that tryouts are going to be on Thursday and Friday for all sports as I give Hayes a smile knowing he wants to tryout for football and basketball. He smiles back and squeezes my hand, I know I'm going to trout for volleyball and cheer. Our last few hours actually go by kind of quick and we hear the last bell ring meaning it's time to go home.

We walk out with Katie, Liam, Allie, and Conner (Allie's boyfriend) and sit and talk waiting for our rides. I notice Cam's jeep and see Nash in the passenger seat waving like an idiot. As Hayes and I are about to tell our friends by, the backseat window rolls down and Matt hangs his head out the window yelling for hayes and I to hurry up. We laugh and say our goodbyes before running to the jeep and hopping in after giving Matt a smack on the head.

We tell them all about our day as we head home and how we have tryouts at the end of the week. Once we get home we all hop out as Hayes and I run upstairs to put our bags down. I lay down on the bed as Hayes props down next to me sighing. I laugh as I ask him if he's okay. "I just missed our bed today!" he laughs as I agree. We continue to lay and talk for a while until Nash yells saying dinner is done.

We run downstairs and fix our plates before sitting down to eat. We watch a movie with the guys once we're done eating and about halfway through the movie I start to feel tired. I tell the guys I'm going to take a shower and get ready for bed before heading upstairs.

I get some pj shorts and a big shirt to change into before hopping in the shower. I quickly wash my body and shave before drying off and changing. I wash my face and brush my teeth and walk back into the room to see Hayes also walking in. "You already took a shower?" I ask noticing his hair is wet as he nods telling me he used the guest bathroom.

We both lay down under the blanket and cuddle as we talk. "Do you think those girls are going to give me trouble all year?" I ask Hayes a little worried as he looks at me concerned. "Baby I won't let that happen, I promise. If they continue to try and start drama, I will handle it!" he reassures me and gives me a kiss. I smile as I kiss him back and tell him thank you. We then change the subject to our tryouts at the end of the week and I see his face light up talking about football. I smile telling him he will do great at tryouts. Our eyes start to get heavy as we tell eachother "I love you and sleep good!" with a kiss before both fall asleep.
