Anna's pov

The next morning.

"Why am I seeing baby stuff on the table? OMG did Lando's sister visit" I asked the room getting excited.

"Ah sorry love, it was from last night." Mick replied. " anyway how'd your meeting go?"

"It was perfect they're letting me pick out my own helmet for the next gp and Dior's sponsoring it!" I didn't shut up for about an hour talking about the partnership and showing them photos of my helmet design. Eventually, they calmed me down and we started to get ready to leave for qualifying, I grabbed all my gear and went to track with Charles.

"How are you feeling about today then?" I asked him after I put my phone down.

"Yeah good, it'll be a good fight today I'm sure," he responded smiling up at me.

"What's up with you love, you seem down and that PR answer wasn't helping" I reached for his hand rubbing it.

"Nothing really, I'm really just trying to do the best for the team we really need it."

"Of course, don't push yourself too hard okay?"

"oui my love" Charles kissed my forehead. We eventually pulled up at the circuit. Austria was always a weird one also known as the red bull ring so that usually only means one thing.

"Wanna bet Max or Checo will win ?" I nudged seb.

"You know what no I quite fancy another to win," he replied with a cheeky grin.

"Oh yeah? Who?"

"Who'd you think? Me of course" he smiled and winked as he walked to his room. I rolled my eyes at him and met up with my trainer.

Cece handed me my helmet. "Okay, so you ready?" I nodded and zipped my suit up.

Radio

Anna's engineer is called Matthew Campbell.

MC - Radio check.

AC - loud and clear

Mc - okay Anna we're looking for C7 strat 3 on the out-lap

Ac - confirm

Two laps later

Ac - soooo how's your day?

Mc - Anna focus on quali please we can talk later.

Ac - you're so boring, I'm literally sitting in the garage

Mc - fine my days going good. Can we focus now?

Ac - are you not going to ask me how my days going?

Mc - apologies, anna how's your day going?

Ac - good yeah, I've made a bet with seb. I thinking of getting Chinese tonight, though I don't think Cece would approve.

Mc - yeah I don't think she will either

Mike Krack - Matthew and anna please focus on the race.

Ac - oops sorry Mike!

After qualifying media pen

Sky - so anna could you just run us through your lap?

Ac - yeah it was good, I hit the apexes nicely and seb gave me a good tow at the start so a good qualifying lap

Sky - and we saw you tow for seb as well as put him on pole, and we all know p2 is the better starting place how do you think you'll fair starting from 3rd?

Ac - we'll just have to see, max managed to just get ahead and at the start, it's just not my battle but I'll fight it out with Charles next to me.

Sky - of course and can we get any word about your dad or brother?

Ac - no comment

On the other side.

ESPN - Lewis how was that?

Lh - yeah it was alright, a lot to improve on tomorrow but the car felt good so we'll have to see, starting in front of Carlos will also give me the extra push

ESPN - could you give us a bit more of an insight into your race tomorrow?

Lh - there's not much i can tell you, I've got a plan and we'll see what happens. You just can't predict it.

ESPN - Can we ask you about Jake Cela?

Lh - depends on what you want to know.

ESPN - we saw your team MHV signed him and we wanted to know more about the situation

Lh - well Jake is a terrific driver and we can see him going far as his previous academy dropped him we picked him up. Our team focuses on helping those who need it that's why we signed him.

ESPN - that sounds amazing thank you Lewis.

Later that night

Alex's pov

"Mick!" I shouted. He was walking just a little ahead of me.

"Huh? Oh, Alex. what up love?" He turned around and placed his hand on my waist.

"Can I catch a ride with you back?" I asked

"Of course you can my favourite teammate. Do you want to get dinner out as well? Little date"

"First of all, I'm your only teammate. Second of all, yes, please! There is this nice Mexican around the corner from the hotel."

"Perfect we'll head there and I'm paying today. No arguments please." Mick smiles and opens the car door for me.

"Oh the chivalry!" I fake gasped.

We ended up heading straight to the restaurant, it was actually really nice we sat and talked about the car and the others. We arrived at the hotel a little later where we were met with 4 sets of limbs on a sofa watching Rory the racing car.

"You lot okay?" I asked as I appeared in front of the TV. Before a word was spoken I was dragged down and pushed into the blanket between Pierre and Anna.

"You were in the way" Max kissed my cheek and settled back into his place in George's lap.

"Sorry sorry, just thought you guys would be watching practice or football, not Rory."

Suddenly a pillow was chucked at the side of my head. I looked over at Yuki who was giving me evils.

"Sorry!"

"Don't ever diss Rory again!"
