The world isn't a place that everyone thinks it is. It's full of various mysteries that people will never completely understand. You're lucky, because you got to understand at least little different piece of it. You're a vampire for some time now and live with a Cullen clan. They're really kind to you and you're glad they accepted you as their own. They found you washed up on the shore in the beach, unconscious. You jumped from the cliff because you wanted to live no longer without your missing boyfriend by your side. A year had passed since Riley went missing when you decided to commit suicide, because deep down you knew that he isn't going to come back. You loved him unconditionally and just didn't see the world without him. Sounds stupid, but you never know real pain until you experience it.
Sometimes your heart aches when you look at Edward and Bella playing with their beautiful daughter Renesmee. You think of you and Riley having your own family, but you know it's never going to happen, and that's where you have to cut your thoughts and try to think about something else. You get along with Renesmee quite well, she really likes you. You remember the first time she touched you and expressed her abilities to you – by touching you, she showed you her thoughts and got through your mental defense. One tear escaped your eye as you watched straight into her soul through her eyes, completely overwhelmed. That child is a miracle, truly.
But there is one big problem – one day, when Bella was playing with Renesmee, she jumped to catch a snowflake really high, and as it turns out, Irina of Denali clan was watching them two. She wanted to avenge Cullens for killing her lover Laurent, and she just found a way how to do it. Alice had a vision of Irina going to the Volturi clan and alarming them about the immortal child, and now, Volturi are going to come and kill Renesmee, as immortal children are not allowed to live. But the thing is, that Renesmee isn't even immortal. She has red cheeks, she grows old, even has a heartbeat. She's a hybrid. You all are doing your best in finding witnesses that could confirm to Volturi that Renesmee is a hybrid and causes no danger to anyone.
The time has come. Snow is falling, all of you stand in a field and wait for the Volturi approach. It will be a ruthless battle. Even werewolves are involved. You remember the battle with Victoria, a vampire which wanted to kill Bella for some time then. You were just been made a vampire, still with reddish eyes. You would've been at hand with Edward battling against Victoria, but Alice didn't let you do that, and everyone else agreed with her because of some reason. Edward seemed to read that reason in her mind, but he didn't tell you. You could tell that they were hiding something, it's your ability : to tell exactly what one is feeling. This really helps when you want to find out if someone lies to you or not. They basically told you nothing about the attack on Bella, just told you to be home, in order to protect humans from you because you were still a newborn, you understood that they didn't want you to read their emotions. But they couldn't hide from you completely, so you knew for sure that they hid something from you. They probably didn't want you to feel rejected because they are really caring.
Finally. You saw cloaked figures appearing out from the woods. It looked frightening and majestic, but something else was keeping you anxious- you felt something familiar, but you couldn't get what. Every one of you paced yourselves and prepared for the worst. You were feeling different emotions: fury, excitement, curiosity. They stopped and removed their black cloaks. You ran with your eyes through their faces and if you would have a heartbeat, it would have skipped a beat. You looked at him. Riley. Shock took over your whole body and you couldn't move nor say anything. Riley didn't notice you at first, but when he did, his reaction was the same. You both knew that you couldn't just run into each other hands, because this whole thing isn't about you. You looked at Edward and realized that this is the thing that he didn't tell you – he felt guilty and anxious. As he was your maker, he wasn't supposed to detain the truth from you, but he did, in order to avoid break of emotions. Your reaction could have been very complex when you were still a newborn, you probably would have done something you would never do.
It doesn't seem like the truth. Everything happed so quick – Alice and Jasper returned from the world's end with another grown up vampire male hybrid named Nahuel who stopped aging at the age of 7. Aro touched Alice's hand in order to experience what she saw, and backed off. You had no idea what he saw in her mind, but he was frightened and tried not to show it, though you could feel that angst in him perfectly. They simply retreated, but Riley stood there like a statue. Volturi didn't pay attention to him because they were too panic stricken to even say a single word. Cullen's did nothing about it, though. They knew that you and Riley are combined with an unbreakable bond.
Both of you used your vampire speed and immediately approached each other. You were afraid to touch him, because you didn't do that for a long time and you didn't know how you would react.
"[Y/N] ... " Riley muttered and your guts strained hearing his voice say your name.
You slowly touched his smooth stone cold cheek and stroked it. He placed his palm onto yours and closing his crimson eyes enjoyed your gentle grip. You buried your head into his chest as he wrapped his arms around you. You don't even know how long you stood there like that. You just enjoyed each other, and that was it.
You are going to spend eternity with your other half.
