The Hybrid

Meet the Family

Sienna's pov: I'm sitting on my bed reading a book and I hear someone screaming.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS NIK?! You left a doppelgänger in the basement for three days without any food or water and a thin cot and blanket? Where is she?!"

Oh boy! She's on her way to my room!

"Doppelgänger! Are you ok? I'm sorry for my ignorant brother mistreating you!" The door opens and there's a tall, blonde standing in the doorway.

"I'm ok now. He apologized and made sure I had something to eat and gave me a room to sleep in."

"Thank goodness!" She says as she flops down on my bed. "My name is Rebekah."

"Sienna Wilson."

"What brings you to New Orleans?" She asks.

"My parents were chasing a deadly tornado in Oklahoma City. That's where I'm from. They were trying to get people lots of warning time but the tornado changed it path and my parents died. Their car was found mangled in a tree. They were found hugging each other."

"Oh my goodness, Sienna! I'm so sorry!" Rebekah said as she hugged me a she tries not to cry. "Well, I'm here if you need to talk. I'll protect you from my brother Klaus. He may be charming but he's an asshole."

"Thank you Rebekah. I appreciate it."

"Anytime sweets." She leaves my room and closes the door behind her. I hear glass bottles break and Rebekah cursing at Klaus. I laught to myself. Guess I'm friends with a 1,000 year old vampire.

I start to doze off and I hear a knock on the door. "Come in!" The door opens and it's Klaus. "Was that Rebekah throwing the bottles at you? Sounds like you deserved it for how you mistreated me."

Klaus puts his head down and chuckles. "Kol, Finn and Elijah are on their way here tomorrow morning. I'd like for you to meet them."

"I'm not going anywhere Klaus. I'd love to meet them. Good night." I roll over. "Sweet dreams doppelgänger."

I wake up in the morning and someone is laying down beside me. "Hello darling. I'm Kol. Nice meeting you."

"So is this your creepy way of greeting someone?" I ask Kol.

"Only if I find them interesting. You're a doppelgänger. Nice to meet you, Sienna. I'm sorry my brother mistreated you. I'm happy to see you're alive and well."

"Thank you." I say and I sit up in bed and stretch. "Klaus was planning on using my blood to make more hybrids. He changed his mind after I talked to him."

"Thank goodness. I would hate to see you suffer. Klaus did everything he could to make Elena's life miserable and used her blood for hybrids. It worked but they were all killed."

I look at Kol and I see the same look in his eyes that Rebekah had. Sincere apologies. "My sister told me about your mother and father. That's a terrible way to go. At least they're together and watching over you."

I lean in and give him a hug. "You're sweet."

"Thank you darling. Breakfast is nearly ready. Come join us."

"Let me change first."

"As you wish."

After changing, I head downstairs where I see two other people. I'm guessing their names are Finn and Elijah.

"There she is! My human friend Sienna." It's Rebekah and she gives me a hug. " Morning sweets. Sleep well?"

"I did. I woke up to Kol laying down beside me. It was kind of creepy." I hear Klaus laughing in the background.

"Rebekah darling, I believe Sienna is my best friend. I know you talked to her last night."

"Hello Sienna. I'm Elijah. It's nice to meet you."

I look at him and shake his hand. "It's nice to meet you too." I look at Finn and smile but he doesn't seem happy to be there.

"Over here is our brother Finn." Elijah says.

"Don't introduce me to her. She looks like that one girl who killed me a few years ago."

I can already tell I won't get along with Finn.

Sienna's pov: We're all sitting at the table enjoying our breakfast until a girl with long dark hair walks in.

"Sorry I'm late! Overslept."

"Ah, Davina Clare! Davina, I'm sure you remember Sienna."

I stand up and shake her hand. "Very nice to meet you in person. Oh and I forgive you. Klaus told me everything."

Looking shocked, Davina then smiles and sits between me and Kol. They're both engaged .

"Sienna darling, my fiancée here is a witch. But you probably already know that."

"Thanks Kol. Congratulations on the engagement! When's the wedding?"

"It's in mid October next year." He says. "Davina and Klaus had a conversation about it and I agreed."

I stand up, holding a glass of water. "I would like to propose a toast to the happily engaged couple
Kol and Davina. Congratulations to you both!" Everyone including Finn stands up and congratulated them. I see Finn look at me and smile. I smile back and the rest of the morning goes by smoothly with laughter.

Sienna's pov: I'm doing dishes in the kitchen when someone walks up behind me. I try to stay calm but I'm clearly nervous as it's probably Finn. I turn around and I'm right.

"Forgive me for how I acted earlier today."

"I already have. I'm sorry for what happened to you. What Elena did to you was wrong. She was trying to protect her family. You're like family to me so I'll do whatever means necessary to protect all of you. You've e been so kind and welcoming to me."

Finn gives me a hug and a kiss on the top of my head. "Thank you. Sister. My condolences about your parents. They'd be very proud of you."

I hold back tears as I smile at Finn. "Your words mean a lot to me. Brother." He helps me with the dishes and all we do is talk about our families.

I think I'm gonna love New Orleans.
