Just a few moments later, someone suggested we play the King's Game again, and everyone eagerly agreed. We grabbed some chopsticks, numbered them, and started playing. The dares were pretty tame at first—Ryan had to wear a blanket like a cape, Yvonne had to sing a random song, and Jane had to pretend to be a robot. Everyone was laughing and having fun, the atmosphere light and playful.
But as we wrapped up the game, I noticed something off about Mei. She was acting strange—her movements were a little wobbly, and she seemed distracted. I leaned over, concern building in my chest. "Mei, is something wrong?" I asked.
She didn't respond right away, just stared at the floor for a minute, her face flushed. Then, out of nowhere, she asked, "Levi, do you like someone?"
Her question caught me completely off guard. I hesitated, feeling a sudden rush of nerves. "You could say that," I replied, trying to play it cool, though my heart was racing.
She glanced up at me, her eyes a little hazy. "Have you ever kissed someone?"
I blinked, surprised by the question. "No, not at all," I answered honestly, feeling more confused by the second.
Then she mumbled, almost shyly, "Well... would you like to kiss me?"
That's when I realized something was definitely wrong. Mei never acted this bold or forward. I quickly scanned the room, looking for a clue, and then I saw it—the pile of chocolate wrappers next to her. I grabbed one and read it carefully: "Whiskey Bonbon."
I turned back to Mei, eyes wide. "Are you drunk? How many of these did you eat?"
She blinked at me, then giggled softly. "Maybe a few," she said, her voice trailing off. I couldn’t believe it.
Just as I was about to get some water, I
felt a presence behind me. I turned around,
and there was Mei, standing in the
doorway of the kitchen. Before I could
even say anything, she suddenly pushed
me against the wall, pinning me with
surprising strength. Her face was so close
to mine, her breath warm on my skin.
"Levi," she whispered, her voice sultry and
teasing. "Taste my lips."
My mind went blank, panic and excitement
flooding my thoughts. No, i'm not ready
yet! I thought. I'd love to, but not now!
Without thinking, I wriggled out from under her and bolted for the living room, my heart racing.
When I found Ryan, I grabbed him by the
shoulders, almost pleading. "Help me,
man! This is serious!"
Ryan looked at me with a slow, dramatic
nod, adopting the voice of an old samurai
master. "Do not worry, young one. Drunk
girls are cute. You'll be fine." He gave me a
confident wink, but I shook him, panicking.
"Dude, you're not serious, right?" I
whispered, desperation in my voice.
Before Ryan could respond, Yvonne
suddenly grabbed him by the arm and
yanked him into a conversation. She
started talking really fast, her words
blurring together like a nonsensical rap
about politics, the weather, and random
stuff no one could follow. Ryan stood
there, looking utterly confused, trapped in
the chaos of Yvonne's verbal onslaught.
I was on my own, and Mei was still in the
kitchen. What am i supposed to do now?
I sighed, feeling like this whole situation was spiraling out of control. This is hopeless, I thought. Then it hit me—Kris and Jane! They were my last hope. I ran out of the living room, searching for them, but they weren’t anywhere in sight. That’s when I heard a strange noise coming from my room.
I rushed to my room, opened the door, and froze. Kris was standing there, wearing an eye patch and holding an umbrella like a sword. She pointed it at me dramatically, her voice low and mysterious.
