There was a fine line between jealousy and envy. All throughout freshman to the beginning of senior year, I've convinced myself that it was jealousy. Sarah could get any guy she wanted by a simple look.
Not that it was important or anything.
(Spoiler alert, it was.)
It's a well known fact that Devon was like prince charming. There was no doubt about it. He was a quarterback on the school's football team. Everybody either wanted to be him or be with him.
Sometimes, both.
He could get any girl he wanted while every other guy struggled to get past the 'I have a boyfriend' stage, knowing damn well that they were pining over him.
Forget about even walking up to a girl. Now, I could care less about Devon, who he dates, his ways with girls, and popularity. He's not my type anyway.
But his girlfriend, Sarah was.
First time I met her was in the bathroom at a party in freshiman year.
At the time, I was kind of shy, but she was a daredevil.
She used to drink a ton at parties, but she toned it down. She didn't like to smoke, 'cause she knew that her parents would yet at her.
She had said "Hey stranger," and from there, we talked a little. We used to talk here and there before her popularity and ego grew.
No time for flashbacks, because now she was putting on a show is the hallway.
Closing my locker, I turned to the left, crossing my arms at Sarah's perfectly manicured hand down Devon's chest.
She looked like she came from Euphoria in a way, but she also looked like Madison Beer.
I rolled my eyes dispite wishing it were me that she was touching. "Ridicu-"
My statement of ridicule was cut short by an internal bi-panic when Sarah looked at me with those beautiful, half-lidded, siren eyes.
Yeah, She's definitely my type.
If my face wasn't red a second ago, it sure as hell was now.
Sarah Fletcher, leave that AXE scented douche-rocket, and come be with me.
Not only do I smell better, but I could be a better boyfriend than him. I'll do all the shit that he never did. I promise I will.
Remember that time we played spin the bottle at that one party and you landed on me?
You and I both know there were feelings behind that heated kiss.
Either that or I'm actually delusional and I was drunk that day.
But so are you for letting that douche bag use you, the most gorgeous girl at school, for popularity and bragging rights.
Let me use you for better reasons.
Like using your mouth and fingers to-
"You're red and staring." My best friend, Jordan, snapped me out of a Sarah induced trance.
"Thanks for stating the obvious." I sighed, watching Sarah flip her hair and walk away, hand-in-hand with Devon. Sarah, you've got me fu-
Did she just wink at me over her shoulder?
Guys, drop everything. She wants me so bad.
~
The next few days were the same. I watched Sarah flirt with Devon, I get called out on staring at her ass, she pins me against the wall in the bathroom with her hands all over me-
Wait, huh?
I pulled away from Sarah, her red-tinted lips plump and a little swollen from kissing me so hard. Her lipstick was also smudged a bit.
"What's the matter? Did I bite you?" She panted, a hand on my hip and a hand on my jaw, trapping me between her and the wall.
"How'd we get here? I mean, one second I'm watching you from my locker, and the next we're- well, here." I sighed, catching my own breath.
"What, you don't want this?" She tilted her head a bit to the left.
Pause.
Remember when I said that she could get any guy she wanted?
Yeah, she got me too. And I'm not even a guy.
I'm not complaining about this or anything, but she does have a boyfriend. Not to mention the fact that she's supposedly straight.
I never believed that part though.
We all went through the 'I'm straight' phase.
I probably knew before before she did. My gaydar is good and up to date after all.
Okay, let's continue.
"I never said that. I'm just a little shocked." She rolled her eyes before gripping onto my shirt collar, pulling me closer to her. "Well, get over it and kiss me, dipshit,"
"Don't have to tell me twice," A grin spread across my face before I leaned in and did as told.
Our lips molded together perfectly. It was like putting that final piece of the puzzle into its rightful place, completing and filling that empty space.
My hands found themselves drawn her her sides, pulling her closer as her chest pressed against my own.
I only pulled away when air became a problem. I'll need to learn how to hold my breath for her then. "You know that you're a girl kisser now, right?"
That little comment earned me a punch to the side. For someone small, she sure knows how to hit. "Don't even,"
I opened my mouth to speak but she cut me off before I could even say anything. "If you say something stupid, I'll punch you harder than I just did."
"Yes ma'am," I joked before kissing her again.

About a week later, she ended things with Devon and got with me as she should have the first time.
Being with her made me gain a little popularity. It was weird having everyone actually know your name.
We were the new it couple at school and I was loving it. I could actually show her off and stare without being called a stalker.
"You know you're staring like a stalker, right?"
Spoke too soon.
I nodded, my chin resting into the palm of my hand as I looked at my girlfriend. "You're just so pretty, it's insane. I'm almost jealous."
Sarah laughed a bit before pushing my face back. Her smile sounded heavenly and genuine. I doubt that Vince had ever heard it. "You dumbass."
I shrugged, leaning over the lunch table to press a small kiss on her lips. "Maybe, but I'm your dumbass."
"Exactly," She grabbed my shirt and smirked, her nose brushing against mine. I could feel her breath against my face with how close we were.

1081 wordsssss guys. I really liked this one. I only proofread about half of it so feel free to correct me if I made a mistake somewhere. I totally didn't use lyrics from 'I met Sarah in the bathroom' from awfultune and 'Boyfriend' by Dove Cameron for this. - Yours truly, Salem.
