"Hi" taylor whispered with a lovesick giggle when she felt Travis's hands circling around her waist, his soft lips coming to contact with her neck, followed by her cheek.

"Morning beautiful," he mumbled quietly, hand stroking the curve of her stomach, "How're my girls doing this morning?"

"Good. So good." She turned around slowly, wrapping her arms around his neck to pull him as close as he would get with her belly between them, connecting their lips with a loving kiss, a warmth flowing through her body at the contact.

Taylor's heart swelled as she deepened the kiss, losing herself in the moment. The warmth of Travis's body against hers and the tender way his hand rested on her belly made her feel like everything was finally falling into place.

Suddenly, a familiar voice broke through the quiet.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Poppy's high-pitched, excited giggle echoed from the doorway.

Taylor and Travis pulled apart slightly, exchanging an amused glance. Taylor turned to see their daughter standing in the doorframe, her face glowing with excitement. Dressed in her favorite yellow pajamas with little daisies printed all over, Poppy stood there, a wide grin on her face as she bounced on her toes.

"What's this?" Taylor said, feigning surprise as she smiled at her daughter. "Are you spying on us, little miss?"

Poppy giggled again, her curls bouncing as she ran towards them, her small feet padding across the hardwood floor. "Nooo, I'm just coming to see baby sister," she squealed, reaching up to touch Taylor's belly with wide-eyed wonder.

Travis chuckled softly and crouched down beside Poppy, placing his hand over hers on Taylor's stomach. "She's still in there, Pops. You're going to have to wait a little longer to meet her."

Poppy's expression turned serious as she peered up at her parents. "But I want her to come now! I'm gonna teach her how to play with my dolls and color in my coloring book!"

Taylor's heart melted at her daughter's earnestness. She knelt down beside Travis, with struggle, and pulled Poppy into a warm hug. "She's going to love playing with you when she's ready," Taylor whispered against her daughter's curls. "But for now, we have to be patient, okay?"

Poppy sighed dramatically but nodded. "Okay, Mommy. I'll wait." Then, her face brightened again as she squirmed out of Taylor's embrace and grabbed Travis's hand. "Can we have waffles for breakfast today, Daddy? Please?"

Travis laughed, looking over at Taylor with a playful smile. "I don't know. Should we spoil her with waffle's today?"

Taylor smiled back, her heart full. "I think we can make an exception."

Poppy's face lit up like the sun, and she began jumping in excitement. "Yay! Waffles, waffles!"

Travis stood up, lifting Poppy into his arms effortlessly. She squealed in delight, wrapping her small arms around his neck. Taylor watched them with a sense of overwhelming love, a feeling that stretched across every inch of her being. Everything felt so perfect, so whole in this moment.

As Travis carried Poppy towards the kitchen, Taylor trailed behind, resting her hand on her belly. She could already imagine what it would be like once their new baby arrived—Poppy running around the house with her little sister, Travis laughing with them, and the four of them sharing quiet mornings like this.

Her heart ached with happiness and hope.

But just as she took another step, the dream began to blur. The colors in the room faded, the warm light from the windows dimmed, and suddenly the sound of Poppy's laughter grew distant, like it was coming from another world.
