An extremely short fluff of Cosmo and Sprout baking and having fun till a certain Strawberry head confesses to a cakeroll.
Sprout and Cosmo were making a cake for Toodles 8th Birthday deciding on what flavor to use. When they couldn't decide Cosmo decided to go ask. Cosmo leaves the kitchen and Sprout is left to decide whether or not he should confess. He's had feelings for Cosmo for so long now that he can't even look at Cosmo without blushing. He was so glad he was naturally red (He's a strawberry, duh) so that it didn't seem obvious. He was scared of rejection thinking he didn't deserve a sweet angel like Cosmo (Literally sweet). He was thinking when Cosmo came back.
Hey sprout, toodles said she wants a white ice cream cake with napoleon ice cream in the middle. Very specific for someone her age, but i couldn't say no, SHE WAS SO CUTEE
"O-oh of course! I'll go get the Ice cream"
"Alright, I'll get the cake batter started!"
Cosmo sighed, he had feelings for the little strawberry head but couldn't bring his courage to confess. Sprout came back with the ice crema and they started to get to work, till a problem comes up.
"Hey Sprout, did we get a new hand mixer?"
"Yeah, i thought I told you?"
"I don't think you did, how does it work?"
"Here, let me help you."
Sprout went behind Cosmo holding his hands, blushing since he was so close to Cosmo. Cosmo on the other hand was so red if it weren't for the warm temperature in the kitchen as an excuse, he would've been so broken with embarrassment (poor guy) As they continued to bake and mix, Sprout finally got the courage, took a breath and finally decided to confess.
"Hey Cosmo"
"Yeah?"
"I wanted to say something..."
"Go ahead, I would turn around, but I can't really do that right now."
"Well, I-I like you, I've had a crush on you since I met you, I understand if you don't like me back, I just wanted to get that out there."
"..."
Sprout looked up to see Cosmo just standing in what seemed to be in shock.
"Cosmo?"
"Sorry, It's just that I've liked you for so long and I thought you were out of my league so I-"
He got cut off by sprout hugging him and kissing him. Sprout tried to take it further reaching up Cosmo's apron before he got interrupted by the timer going off. Sprout groaned as Cosmo giggled.
"We can finish it later, after the birthday."
Cosmo immediately regretted what he said not realizing it had slipped out of his mouth. As for sprout, He immediately brightened with a smirk on his face.
Meet me in my room tonight ;)
Cosmo just blushed as he was so bold not knowing what he was about to get himself into.
He gave him another quick kiss before singing Happy Birthday to Toodles and having a blast at the party.
