Ch 10

YECHAN POV

I went to my parent's house after spent my breakfast in empty table. The breakfast ready on the table when I woke up, but no one sit around it. So i called mom to ask her about jaehan and hyuta. She confirmed, jaehan did call her before she goes to main building, saying he gonna come over with hyuta to play. She also said Yeo Eun already arrived and greet them just before i called her, so he probably at my parents house by now.

It's funny i need to call mom to ask about jaehan because i didn't have his number yet. And the image of the threat for my future and the one who held a key to help me to create my future might be in the same room kind of frightening. What if they forming an alliance? I know Yeo Eun has no ambition for snatches my position, and jaehan no the type that willing going through a hardship, but we don't know what inside people's mind.

It's empty, just like my house, jaehan or Yeo Eun wasn't here. I sigh, i decided to just wait for him at our home, he can't avoiding me forever. There's still a few things we need to talk about, and i need to ask what did he want for us live side by side without holding a grudge, so at least we can act more domestic. Because the change i planned to made, can't work without his cooperation.

Just before i opened my gate, i saw a fascinating sight at the other end of the road. It look like a traditional couple in remote village, the husband carried his son in his back, while the wife hugging herbs in his arms, walking side by side, talking happily with a smile in their faces. I grits my teeth, shut my eyes, there's a weird feeling hit my chest.

Looking at jaehan's sweet smile that he never shown it to me, seems like he already put a liking to my cousin. I feel like he's fine to be around everyone but me. Leave alone smile at me, he didn't even bother to acknowledge my presence. I too, made a sacrifice, i made a promise to leave my night joy, i stop doing things I've been doing for years.

We did made a mistake three years ago, but we got hyuta. We take him here, but we provide everything to make him live comfortable. What actually he wanted from me, so we can live in more friendly in our own house, with or without anyone around.

"Yechan. It's been a while" Yeo Eun smile, i nod to return his smile.

"Mom said you at their house"

"Mom called me, they can't coming home for lunch, he ask me inviting Yeo Eun to join us for lunch, is that okay?" I glance at jaehan. He's so good at putting a couple's mask.

"You guys enjoy your lunch, i didn't need one" I leave them without looking back, walk inside and went straight to my room. I don't care anymore. I lay my back against the bed, put my arm to covered my eyes. I don't know what happened to me, but i feel extremely annoyed.

I heard the sound of his bedroom door, he might put hyuta to sleep in his room, i can predicted his next move, cooked and eat their lunch together.

I'm wrong. I heard a knock from my door, and like a stupid, i opened it right away.

"Can we talk?" He give me an awkward smile. I nod. Opened the door wider to give him more room for walking inside. He stop in the middle of the room, look at his right and left awkwardly.

"Just sit wherever" He glance at me briefly and step toward the lazy couch by the glass door. I let the door open, and sit beside him.

"I thought you avoiding me" He turn his body slightly to face me.

"I just did, this morning" So i was right.

"What make you change your mind?" he silent for a minute, looking at the wall behind me. I stare at him, waiting for his answer. He slowly turn his gaze toward me.
