Anum's eyes fluttered open, her vision gradually clearing as she noticed Irtaza standing near the bed. She tried to sit up, confusion clouding her thoughts..
"Leti raho, Anum," Irtaza said gently, stepping closer. "Kaisa feel ho raha hai?" (Just lie down, Anum. How are you feeling?)
Anum glanced around, her heart sinking as she realized she was in Irtaza's bedroom. "Ap...mujhe yahan kyun laye hain?" (Why did you bring me here?)
Irtaza hesitated for a moment, rubbing the back of his neck before answering. "Jo kamra sabse pehle saamne aya, tumhe wahan le aya. Tum behosh hogayi thi." (It was the first room I saw. You fainted.)
Mujhe...kya hua tha?" Her brows furrowed, as her confusion deepend.
"Nothing serious. Tum bilkul theek ho," he replied, though his eyes flickered with concern. "Pani piyogi?" (Nothing serious. You're fine. Do you want some water?)
She shook her head slightly, the heaviness in the air making her feel uneasy. There was a pause before he spoke again, his voice uncertain.
"Anum... tum pregnant ho. Ek mahina ho gaya hai." (Anum... you're pregnant. It's been a month.)
Anum's body froze. It felt like the world slipped from beneath her. Her heartbeat quickened, and disbelief surged through her.
Irtaza moved to sit beside her, his hand slowly reaching to rest on her stomach. "Mera bacha... tumhare andar hai, Anum," he said softly, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips. "Hamara bacha." (My baby is inside you, Anum. Our baby.)
"K-kya?" Her voice came out as a whisper, her eyes pleading for him to be wrong "Yeh... kaise ho sakta hai?" (W-what? How.. can this be?)
She recoiled, horrified, her hands trembling as she pushed his hand away. "Nahi... nahi... yeh nahi ho sakta." Her voice cracked, panic creeping in. (No... no, this can't be happening.)
His smile faded instantly. "Kya tum khush nahi ho, Anum?" (Are you not happy, Anum?)
"Haath mat lagayein mujhe!" she shot out of bed, her breath coming in quick gasps as her fists clenched tightly. (Don't touch me!)
"Anum, dhayan se." His voiced was laced with concern as she got down from bed too quickly. (Anum, be careful)
"Just stop it! Sab samajhti hun me..Yeh sab apki saazish hai!" ("Just stop it! I know everything... This was all part of your conspiracy!)
Irtaza's brows knitted together, his voice firm but steady. "Saazish? Yeh tum kya keh rahi ho?" (Conspiracy? What are you saying?)
"Ap kabhi nahi chahte the ke main aagey barhoon!" Her voice shook with anger. "Ap ne jaan bujh ke yeh sab kiya taake mujhe kabhi azaad na kar sakein, aur main hamesha apke paas qaid rahoon!" (You never wanted me to move forward! You did this on purpose so I'd be trapped here, held captive by you forever!)
"Anum," he warned, his tone turning cold. "Tameez se baat karo." (Anum, watch your words.)
"Warna kya karenge, Irtaza?" She pushed against his chest in frustration, but he didn't budge. "Bolo, kya karloge?!" (Or what? What will you do, Irtaza?)
His jaw tightened, his patience visibly thinning. "Listen, Anum. Agar me chahun toh tumhe abhi qaid kar ke rakh sakta hun, uske liye mujhe koi saazish rachne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Aur na hi kuch kar paogi tum. Maine tumhe contraceptive pills diye huwe the, it was your responsibility to take them on time." (Listen, Anum. If I wanted, I could have held you captive right now. I don't need to elaborate conspiracy for that, and there's nothing you could do. I gave you contraceptive pills. It was your responsibility to take them on time.)
