Chapter 1

Ye Joon huffed in annoyance and threw the book on the shelf in his small room. Ye Joon wasn't the type to read fantasy novels, no, he was a serious person with a busy life and a whole mountain of debt to take care of. But this novel was a very popular one amongst the teens and 30-year-old Ye Joon began to read it out of curiosity. Well, that was a lie, he would never be curious about books like these. It was the peer pressure that got to him. His coworker, ever so energetic, began hammering into him for being old and a 'boomer'. He's 30, not 60.

But it was the biggest mistake in his life. Not only was the plot very one-dimensional, but the characters were also one-dimensional. Maybe it was his mistake to take these types of books seriously, but even the most braindead of all teenagers would share the same thoughts as him.

Ye Joon thinks that the only reason why this book was popular was because of the attractive characters that were molded and shaped to become the audience's ideal lovers.

The story starts with a typical female lead with a typical backstory. The female lead was born from a maid who got into a one-night stand with the Duke of the Kamenev kingdom. This caused her to run away in fear of the Duchess killing her because of her reputation. The Duchess was a psychopath who enjoyed being in power. So the thought of crushing a helpless animal brought great joy to her. And the pregnant maid, both scared and anxious, ran far away to a village in the far countryside.

While the female lead was growing up, she became beautiful and loving, causing those around her to fall for her giving nature. She was gentle, naive, and loving to all. The ugly and the fearsome, she will love them like how she loved everyone else.

One day, when her mother died, the Duke showed up and took her to his manor. The brothers hated her at first, but her gentle and pitiful personality caused them to fall head over heels with her. Her pitiful state and past made them pity her and protected her from the bullies and hyenas lurking in the shadows.

But during her stay at the Sather's manor, the youngest brother, grew to hate her and out of pure jealousy and malice, he tormented her until she ran away out of fear and fell into the arms of the fearsome Crown emperor.

The crown prince immediately fell for her clumsy nature and pitiful face. Like all female leads, she was given special treatment and immediately, he began to treat her like she was a fragile flower that would wilt at the slightest touch. So he brought her to the castle in hopes of protecting her from the 'cruel' world. While she was there, she told him about the young villain bullying her and told him she was too scared to return to her home at the Sather Manor.

Outraged, he barged into the manor and dragged the poor young villain out by the hair until his scalp bleed fresh young blood.

But it seemed as though that was the least of the young villain's concerns. After he was dragged out of the manor, he was tortured for over a year. But they were careful not to kill him, so to escape his brutal fate, he killed himself by digging his unkept fingernails in his throat and ripping it out, killing him almost immediately and ending his year-long pain. He died while still remembering the cold faces of his father and brothers as he was being dragged out and bleeding.

After his death, the crown prince, now Emperor, married the female lead and lived a happy life.

Ye Joon was so mad after he finished the book. The young villain was only 11 years old when they dragged him away. He was a young boy who envied the female lead because she was loved by others. He was just a brat who didn't know better. He was shunned by his family and hated for being born 'different', so he had no one to guide him and acted out on his immense jealousy. He was someone who'd grow up to have no future and no life because he was never able to experience the joy of living. He grew up with no love and no one to love. Unlike the female lead who grew up with the love of her mother and the villagers.

What a truly pitiful character. Ye Joon wants to curse the author for their shitty writing and curse the characters for their dumb brains. If Ye Joon could, he would go in and beat the character's ass for falling for a woman they just met.

"Curse you stupid auth-" Ye Joon began, waving his fist in the air and kicking his legs in annoyance. But before he could finish, he felt a hand grabbed him from behind and pushed him onto the floor. This startled Ye Joon because he lived in one of the poorest neighborhoods, so robbery was almost impossible. The neighborhood was so poor, that he's pretty certain the robbers would just shake their heads in pity and walk to a rich man's house. Before he could struggle, his hands were tied and his mouth was sealed with duct tape.

Ye Joon tried to stay calm and assess the situation, but his racing heart began to grow louder and louder with worry. Hopefully, the robber would take pity on him and give him money.

"My dear Ye Joon...look how beautiful you are... I just want to keep you locked up like this forever." A deep voice shook Ye Joon to the core. Wait what? Huh? So, it's not a robber?

"Ah...don't start struggling my love, you'll wake it up." The man said teasingly in his ears, his breath hot and the smell of expensive cologne clogged Ye Joon's 'poor' (no pun intended) nose. This caused Ye Joon to stop and stare at the ground with wide eyes and sweaty brows. He couldn't think of a way to escape the man on top of him. Ye Joon was too out of shape. He's like any typical middle-aged man who works a 9-5 job. The only exercise he's ever gotten was walking up to the train station and sitting on a chair for pretty much most of his life. There is nothing he can do to save himself.

"I love you so much. But you continued to cheat on me with other nuisances! I have had enough of this behavior! My beloved Ye Joon...I love you so much...why can't you love me back?" Ye Joon's stomach dropped when the man's free hand started to fondle his body. He hasn't shaved yet and he's sweaty. At least fondle him after his shower.

Sweat began to stream down his face when the man dragged his pants down. He shook his head over and over again, but the man didn't stop. Once his pants and underwear were gone, he was flipped on his back and was forced to face his kidnapper.

Standing on top of him was a handsome man with a dark look in his eyes and a deranged smile. And in his hands was a large gleaming knife that also looked expensive.

"Since I can't keep you here with me forever, I'll just make it so you can never run again! That way, you'll be with me forever! Isn't that exciting!" The deranged man laughed joyfully and began to blush at the scared look on Ye Joon's face. Ye Joon could feel the kidnapper's pants tightening between his legs.

Ye Joon shook his head as the kidnapper, without any hesitation, plunged his chest over and over again until his mouth overflowed with blood and his heart spilled out of his ribcage. He can no longer keep his eyes open. He was a ghost, staring at his mangled corpse in grimace while trying to ignore his killer who was lapping his blood while mangling the lower part of his body.

As he fell into the cold embrace of death, it looked at him with pity in its eyes.

December 15, 2021, was the death of 30-year-old Ye Joon, who died at the hands of his stalker.
