Hanbal stood in the doorway of the dining room. Was he even allowed here? From what he has read, it seems as though Hanbal was allowed in the dining hall, it's just he avoids it due to being emotionally immature and lashing out in hopes of attention. Since that was the only time he was allowed to be anywhere near them, he tended to go too far, which caused him to splash water on the female lead's head. This made Hanbal the target of hate and despair.

Hanbal took a long breath in and sighed loudly to calm his heart. All he has to do is avoid them. Right? He doesn't have many options left since his food would either get stolen or forgotten, and he is not allowed anywhere near the kitchen because of the mean cook who would throw hot water on him. This is why Hanbal is so skinny. He barely eats.

"Ok Hanbal, you could do this. You are no longer wimpy Hanbal. You have a mission to complete. Get yourself together!" He whispered to himself and took a deep breath in. After composing himself for a few seconds, he walked in with his head down to avoid any attention.

The dining table was quiet. There were no sounds except for the occasional clanking of the plates and utensils. He can barely feel any eyes on him. Fortunately, his presence is so low that they already started without him. Hanbal sighed in relief when he saw that no one was paying attention to him and sat down on the seat furthest from them. A seat where they can't see or notice him. A seat that belonged to him.

The smell of food filled his stomach with more joy than money. He began to dig in and happily chew on the food without noticing the curious eyes. He didn't care the food was lackluster compared to the other rich masters. It was still food and Hanbal, a poor man, used to live off of rice and soy sauce. Who cares if those 'family' of his were watching. If he was happy, then that's what matters.

But as he was chowing down on his food, he suddenly stopped. Were these...waffles? They looked like the ones from his old world. The exact ones his father made for him when he got extra money on his payday. He could remember how happy he was whenever he woke up to the smell of waffles and syrup in the morning.

They weren't the richest. They could barely afford meat because all the money goes to paying the bills and the 7-year debt coming from his bastard of a mother.

How were there waffles in the Victorian world? Well, the book was written in the modern world, so what was he expecting? He should stop asking stupid questions.

Unknowingly, tears began to fall on his pretty face and onto the large wooden table. He was shivering when he cut the waffles and put them in his mouth. How would his father react when he found out that he was dead? Oh, his poor father. He was such a shitty son. If only he would listen.

He suddenly had no more appetite and quickly and quietly left the dining table. He didn't cry, no he was normal. He behaved exactly like how normal Hanbal would act. Shy and meek. But unknown to him, eyes began to peak up in interest and like a dove beneath a hawk, his fate was sealed.

"Man, what a shitty day. First the maid, now this..." Hanbal sighed and made his way towards his room. He was tired and in need of a nap. An old man nap. But along the way, he spotted a large vase filled with blue roses and white snapdragons. It stood in the corner of the room all alone. The soil looked like sand and the leaves had already fallen off the stem and rotted away. It was slowly decaying from the roots to the petals. Hanbal immediately recognizes the vase. That same flower vase became the reason the original Hanbal started to bully the female lead.

On her third day living in the Sather manor, she found out that she had another brother and went to look for him in hopes of 'befriending' him. But when she saw him tending to the flowers, she tripped and accidentally pushed the vase onto the ground which caused it to shatter and break. Since the vase was a first and last gift from his 'father', he had a mental breakdown and tried to hurt the female lead. That marks the beginning of the female lead's torturous days in the Sather manor and the start of an addiction Hanbal couldn't get rid of.

Hanbal walked towards it and examined the inside of the vase. There was no sight of water or any life in it. Nothing at all. Just like Hanbal, it wilted away due to neglect. It lacked sunlight, water, life, hopes, and dreams. It lacked care and love.

"Ah, it seems as though you two are very alike." Hanbal laughed softly and patted the dying flowers. "I'll take you with me. Let's venture into the world together."

He turned and walked towards his room to grab a bucket of water. It was originally the bucket for the mop, but he decided to turn it into a watering bucket.

"Did you hear? The outcast ran out of the dining room in the middle of breakfast! I heard that the Duke was very angered by that." Said a maid to a male servant.

"Oh? Really? What was the bastard thinking? He should've known he was not important enough to act out! Where did he manage to gather up the courage to do that?" The butler said.

"Hey, should we help the Duke by bringing the bastard to his room? Maybe the Duke will give us a raise!" The maid giggled softly. The butler nodded beside her eagerly.

Hanbal sighed while he listened to their conversation. He stared at the flowers for a couple of seconds before pouring out the water from the metal bucket. He could feel them approaching from behind, the stench of greed filled his nose with a pungent smell. He is well-versed with the smell. Because it was the small that he had lived with for most of his life. He is not going to sit here and pretend to be the bigger person when he would do the same for money. He's greedy and selfish, but who isn't?

"Hi, Hanni," The maid said softly with a false smile on her face. She stood like a proper maid, her back was straight and she stood tall and gracious. If he was the old Hanbal, he would've believed them, since Hanbal is, after all, still a child.

The maid stood there for a minute longer before realizing that Hanbal barely paid any attention to her. Suddenly, the mask slipped and she glared at Hanbal with greed and ego in her eyes.

"You..." She mumbled, gesturing to the butler who hid behind a pillar. Suddenly, the butler lunged at Hanbal, he had his arms out, ready to grab Hanbal at any given moment. They planned on grabbing Hanbal and throwing the tiny kid to the ground so they could restrain him and drag him to the main wing. But before the butler could get his hands on Hanbal, he heard the maid scream, and then, as if a hundred Church bells rang, his ears began to bleed and vibrations filled his head like a song. He felt his vision darkened and could feel his heart beating wildly against his chest. Before he knew it, he was on the ground with blood seeping out of his head.

As it turns out, before he could lung at the kid, Hanbal spun around and swung his heavy metal bucket, hitting the butler square in the head. This wasn't raw strength, it was adrenaline. He wasn't expecting someone to attack him, so out of fear and instinct, he used the object closest to him and successfully knocked the danger away. It took him a minute to fully process what he had done, and by the time he realized, the butler was already bleeding on the ground and the maid was screaming in pure terror.

"Huff... Huff..." Hanbal panted, sweat coated his brows and neck and his arms shook from exhaustion. He turned to look at the maid, his eyes blank from tiredness, but to the maid, it looked like a white mamba snake was ready to strike her down at any moment. So she turned and ran away, completely ignoring the bleeding butler on the floor and running for her safety.

Hanbal sighed and dropped the metal bucket. He's tired. He wants to sleep.

But when Hanbal was out of sight, a man appeared from the shadow and let out a sharp whistle, his eyes glowed a crimson red, like a beast locking his eyes on his next meal.
