"Sure, kang papasok ka na? You can always file a leave naman." tanong ni Kenneth, they are having breakfast.

"Ayoko, I need exercise. Saka madami na akong pending works to do," he answered.

Kenneth hands him the sandwich na pinalamanan nito. "How about work from home?" he suggests.

"Ayaw, bum. I miss my office na," he insisted.

"Hmm, okay sige. Shower ka na after mo kumain," he said, giving him a shallow smile.

Jastine sighs; he can feel that Kenneth has been a bit distant since their last check-up, and that was three days ago. For three consecutive nights, nagigising siya ng midnight na mag-isa sa kama. Naaabutan niyang nasa balcony si Kenneth, or di kaya in his study table. He seems bothered, pero pag tinatanong naman niya, lagi nitong sinasabi na okay lang siya.

Inaalagaan parin naman siya nito, but he can feel the wall that he's slowly building between them.

And it pains him; he's slowly overthinking things.

"Bum? Are you okay? Lately parang hindi, do you want to talk about it?" mahinahong tanong niya habang nagmamaneho ito papuntang SPS.

"Tine, please. You've been asking the same question for two days straight already. And wala namang something, ikaw lang nag-iisip nun," he replied.

"I don't think so, bum, you're different lately." giit niya.

Kenneth took a quick glance at him. "I'm fine, bun. Don't worry too much, okay?" sagot nito.

He stopped talking and remained silent throughout the ride. But his heart was slowly breaking.

"Omg bum! I swear the baby moved!" masayang sabi niya.

They were eating dinner, and he felt a twitch inside his tummy, and as his initial reaction, masyado siyang naexcite. He took Kenneth's hands to let him feel it too, but before he could even touch it, he pulled back his hands.

"Are you sure bun? Baka akala mo lang?" he asked.

Jastine was left with no words; that's not the reaction that he's expecting; he suddenly let go of his hands. Naramdaman naman iyon ni Kenneth, kaya agad niya itong hinarap.

"No, bunny, I mean...I was just thinking that it's maybe too early to feel that? baka lang kako akala mo lang," he explained.

But that doesn't help with Jastine's disappointment. He looked away, "Baka nga," then he continued eating.

Kenneth felt a lump on his throat; he knew that at that moment, he had hurt Jastine. At doble ang nararamdaman niyang sakit sa nakikita niyang reaksyon nito.

They were at a department store nang madako sila sa aisle ng mga gamit for baby.

"Bum! Ang cute! Tingnan mo 'tong shoes ng baby, ang liit-liit!" he showed a particular shoe to Kenneth, who just gave him a smile.
