TW: MENTIONS OF SUICIDE AND NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
...
The cool air sent goosebumps on your skin
were currently on a rooftop, just admiring the night view of Japan. Sometimes being by yourself was the best thing ever, and sometimes it was the worst. But the reason you were here was because a certain friend of yours lurks by here time to time. Maybe he'd see you.
After a few minutes, you heard a few footsteps.
"What's up dabs?"
"The sky" he replies with an eye roll, sitting down next to you.
"I guess thats true" you reply.
"What brings you here?" He asks.
"Just thinking and admiring the view" you state, the moonlight shining over your features.
"About what exactly?" He asks, now paying full attention to you.
"Importance"
"Importance?" He repeats after you.
You nod.
"Elaborate please"
"I just feel like I don't really matter, I'm just a side. People only come to me when their other friends aren't there" you vent to him.
"You do matter (Y/n), sometimes, people don't see your or others' importance until it's gone."
You stay silent, registering his words.
"I was going through a surgery yesterday and no one, not a single message, call or visit. No one came."
"You know I can't come because of my identity and-" he feels guilty and tries to explain.
"You don't have to explain yourself dabi, I know giving you my phone number is dangerous if you get caught or if someone finds out I have contact with you."
He nods, glad that you understood.
"Anyways, how have you been?" You ask him.
"Fine I guess, Shigaraki is currently planning something"
"Dabi?" You ask.
"Hm?"
"Do you ever feel any sort of remorse? For you know, killing people?"
He avoids eye contact and looks at the view, the wind hitting his hair.
"Sometimes," he sighs, "but what I do is for a reason, I don't have any other path to take. The league is basically my family." He says.
You nod, "I understand. What you went through is something no one should deal with, but I don't approve of your actions, killing innocent people. However, I don't hold grudges against you."
He mutters a thanks, watching the cars pass by, the traffic lights, the birds.
A small portal appeared below him.
"I should get going, nice seeing you again. Take care." He says and enters the portal.
You nod and sigh, alone once again. You aat there, watching the view for hours and hours. There was nothing you wanted to do, you had no motivation.
The view looked amazing, the apartment building was high up, everyone was probably sleeping. It would be a perfect time to just...
No.
But yes.
You wanted to.
The view, the weather, it just felt like a perfect time, you were at peace.
But bakugou? What about Aizawa? Or Dabi?
What would they think? Would they be happy or guilty? They wouldn't care, would they? You had stood up, and the wind was blowing faster. The railing was cold, as expected, your hands were holding onto it, contemplating whether to. The building was approximately 40 floors, there was no chance of surviving.
But living any longer didn't benefit you in any way. So you crawled over the railing and took a deep breath.
You were falling.
Yep.
This was the end.
You heard shouting in the distance, you guessed some people saw you. What was the point of calling an ambulance? You were practically going to be burned into shreds the moment you touch the ground due to friction.
Personally, the feeling of falling felt nice, the end was getting close though. The screams got louder as your body touched the ground. Your arms and legs were barely there anymore, the only thing left was your bones and some part of your body.
...
What?
Why could you still feel your heartbeat?
