Third person's POV

The dead body of the woman being staked on a deer antler pops up soon after the stakeout. Jack's team was notified by a passing hiker in Minnesota. "The stag head was reported stolen last night, just one mile from here."

"Just the head?" Will asked Jack. "Mineopelis homicide already gave him a name, they're calling him the Minnesota shrike."

"A bird?"

Nathan explained, "shrike is a perching bird. It perches its victim on branches, tears into their prey and brings their organs into their nest to store them away for later. You can see them a lot in the mountains during the winter time." Nathan hands his report to Jimmy before standing behind Will to keep an eye on him.

"Yeah, can't tell if it was sloppy or shrewd." Will starts to get near to her, Nathan following behind him. "He wanted her found this way. It's....perpetual. almost like he's mocking her. Or mocking us."

"Where did all his love go?" Nathan felt bad that he was unable to save the innocent girl but he knew that he had to let the story flow through normally or not, there would be too many things he would slip up. I mean, I'm already planning to keep Abigail alive......

"Whoever tucked Elise Nichols to bed didn't do this, I think." Nathan said, pulling their attention away from the girl. "The killer took out her lung. We're pretty sure she was still alive when the killer cut them out....." His mind could already imagine the scene where Hannibal is preparing the girl's lung for dinner. It was sickening.....

"Our cannibal loves women. He doesn't want to destroy them. He wants to consume them, keep a few pieces of themselves inside. This girl's killer thought that she was a pig!"

"Maybe, it's a copycat?" Nathan gives out his speculation. "The cannibal who killed Elise Nichols had a place to do it, and no interest.... in field kabooki. So, he has a house, or two,  or a cabin.

"He has a daughter, then. Same age as the other girls, same hair color, same eye color, same height, same weight." Nathan pulled out his list of all the girls profile to Jack while Will continues his speculation. "She's an only daughter. She's leaving home. He can't stand the thought of losing her. She's the golden ticket." Will walks away, already at the brink of his mentality.

"What about the copycat?" Jack asked as Nathan and the team continues to finish documenting the crime scene. Jimmy gestured for him to leave and keep an eye on Will like he is supposed to do. "Just a little longer..." Nathan whispered, taking a few more photos.

"You know, an intelligent psychopath are typically a sadist, very hard to catch. There's no traceable motive, there be no pattern. He may never kill this way again. Have doctor Lecter draw a psychological profile of him, he seemed very impressed on his opinion."

Nathan's POV

I picked up some food, Chinese for me and chicken porridge for Will before heading to his motel. It's fairly simple and easy to find. I asked the receptionist Will's room number and went up to his room and knocked the door.

At first, it was silent but then, I could hear feet shuffling and Will opening the door. He's still in his uniform but without his jacket and scarf. "Nathan," He whispered. "W-What are you doing here?" "I thought you might like some company. I brought you some food." I showed him the bag of Chinese takeout.

Will invites me in. I went inside and the smell was the first thing that hit me. It was very musty and I could see the bedsheets being soaked in sweat. "Did you have another nightmare?" I said, placing the food down on the small table.

"It was fine," Will rubbed his face with his sleeve of sweat. I quickly stopped him and wiped the sweat away with my handkerchief. "You can't keep doing this, Will. You have to tell Jack to give you a break after this is over with."

"Yeah, maybe." I pulled away and start dishing out the food. Luckily, the motel provides the guest with their own tableware. "I brought you some egg fried rice and chicken soup if you don't feel like rice. Eat up." Will sat down and scarf down his food while I enjoy my chicken and rice with vegetable roles.

We discussed a few things about the case but got so absorbed that we didn't notice the time and it was getting pretty late. "It's getting late. You should sleep here tonight. I'm not risking it with the copycat still around." Will suggest and u happily agreed.

As I laid back next to him on the bed, the lights off and the sound of the ceiling fan surrounding us, I fell asleep quickly.......

However, Will seemed to be having trouble as he kept moving around in his sleep. I was woken up by him shaking and writhing in his sleep. "Will, calm down! It's just a dream." Carefully calming him down, I could feel his heart beat starting to slow down and his breath getting smooth.

Carefully, I pulled him up to a sitting position and took off his shirt and changed it into a new one. I also placed a towel under him to catch the sweat before laying him down to sleep. It was already 3 am when he unintentionally woke me up. I laid back down, making sure to pat him in the back to get him to a deeper sleep.

"It's ok, Will. Everything will be Ok. I promise......"
