Lauren's POV
We were currently in my basement/studio recording and practicing our choreography for sledgehammer .... Our new song .. Oh and we stands for Camila , Dinah , Normani, and Ally and myself ...
" hey guys I'm tired can we got watch a movie ..." Camila says sitting on the couch ... Dinah sits next to her and says " yeah lo and we have to talk " she says .. Normani and ally sit on the other couch while I nervously sit down ... Especially when Dinah says we have to talk it's usually serious ...

Dinah starts to talk " lo we know u like Jake "
I rake my hand through my hair and say " I know ... Guys I don't know what to do " I say looking around the room at each of the girls ...
" brad told me to stay away from him cause then he's gonna hurt him .... I can't be with Jake but I really want to ... He likes me "
" no lo he loves you " Normani says
Dinah and the rest of girls look at me and say " do u love him "
My heart flutters and I feel warmth inside me when I think of the though of me being in love with him ...
" I want to be in love with him but then brad and I don't wanna get hurt .."
Ally calms me down and says " Lauren just tell me if your in love with him "
I nod and sigh slowly

Then I finally have the courage to say...

"I'm in love with him "

Jakes POV
I still don't know what to do with my life ... This week has been crazy ....I don't know about you guys but I haven't had an experience like this ever in my 17 years of living .....
The guys are expecting me to go to party on Saturday .i still haven't answered them cause I don't know if I want to go . Especially with the whole brad and Danika thing going on ... Danika knows I won't stay away from Lauren and that's the problem .. I want to stay away to protect her cause I don't want to hurt her but I want to be with her cause I might like her more than friends at this point ..
I turned off the shower faucet because yes I was taking a shower .. I wrap a towel around my waist and walk out . My wet hair sticks to my forehead
( A/N my attempt at sensory details lol ) I hear my phone ring and look to see the caller id to match Danika.
I groan and pick up the phone ...
" hi babe "
" how many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that .... "
" I'm not gonna listen to you anyway so why try Jake ... Anyway how are you "
" I'm fine how are you "
" I'm here with brad and he's not so happy with you " I could hear her say ..
" does it seem like I care how the bastard feels toward me " I say harshly hoping that brad could hear me ...
" I'm just warning you cause that bitch is gonna get it .." And hangs up
I throw my phone across the room angrily ...
But then my phone rings again and I pick up to hear ruffling " hello "
" hi Jake it's Camila " she says nervously
" what's up ?" I say concerned
" it's Lauren .."
" what happened with Lauren ?" I say now really scared ... Brad can't have her right ? I was just on the phone with Danika and I could hear someone else in the background ...
" she's walking to your house and she might have something to tell you .."
" Camila u know I don't like surprises "
I laugh while putting on a pair of sweats and a white t shirt ..
" don't worry I think it's a good one "
Suddenly I hear Dinah take the phone and say " and if u hurt her Parker I'm gonna give u a poly beat down "
I laugh but then realize she was reall serious ....
" damn " I whisper hoping she didn't hear me this time ..
Camila hangs up ... I go downstairs to watch tv ... I find a note that read

Dear Jake
Your dad and I are going on business and we'll be back on Monday ... I left some food in the fridge and u can always order food .. Please no parties and call me if you need anything
Love mom and dad

I groan before putting the letter down ... I sit down on the couch before I hear a single knock on my door before I hear someone fall ....

Lauren's POV
I was walking to jakes house to finally tell him that I have feelings for him and want to be more than friends .. I was walking up to his front door when I get a call from my mom " hey mami" I say .. I hear her crying like a maniac
" hey baby .... Honey I have bad news "
" what is it ... ? Is it about your job or about dad ?" I say concerned
" no honey ... It's about Taylor .."
" did she drop out ? "
" no honey she's gone "
" what do you mean mom !?"
" honey Taylor's dead ... She got killed in a car crash ..."

I drop my phone and my body's frozen my mind is racing with so many questions ... My best friend was gone .. No this can't be real ....
" no " I scream falling to my knees and I begin to ball my eyes out.....

Jakes POV
I hear someone fall and immediately get up and run to the door and open it to see Lauren crying her eyes out and in front of my steps ..
" Lauren what happened .." I say running to her , I grab her and pull her to me and try to comfort her ...
" this can't be happening ... No she can't be gone ... I can't " she screams into my chest ....
" Lauren's what's wrong !!"
" my sisters gone .. Jake she's dead .." She says to me
" oh my ... Lauren I'm so sorry .."
I say softly ... Remembering what happened to Brie .....

Lauren looks up at me .." I can't believe she's gone ... She was my best friend I can't live like this Jake .... She's gone "
She says through sobs ....
" I need to get home and tell the girls and see my parents and Chris .."
I immediately get up and grab my keys and say " come on .."
I grab her bridal style and pick her up .. She seems surprised but snuggled into my chest .. I couldn't help but admire her face .. Her full pink lips look a little chapped but look soft and smooth .. The birthmark on the side of nose makes her look so beautiful and the way her hair covers her face makes her face look like a panda ..
( A/N lol I know I said panda haha)
I place her in the front seat of the car and see her emerald green eyes open to look at me ... I feel like they stare into my soul every time I swear ..
She smiles and says " thank you " her voice sounds so broken and sad ...
I drive her back home ....
We make small talk but mostly the car stays silent with sorrow and sadness .... But most of all questions ...

I parked outside her front door ...
I could tell that she's holding something back but I can't tell what it is ....
She hugs me and of course I would hug her back . I really like her ... Who am I fooling anymore .. I'm in love with her .....
I could feel her hot breath on my neck breathing and muffled cries ... She pulls away and since she moved her position to hug me we were inches apart

Lauren's POV
A pair of lips met mine .....
Jake kissed me ......

I bet u guys probably cried and squealed and screamed cause they kissed and how Taylor died and how Lauren reacted .. If u like Dinah or Camilas POV or brad POV then don't worry there's more coming .. We're gonna be seeing a lot more of brad and Danika and their connection ...
WHOS BRIE ? I bet u guys are probably wondering that too .. I was gonna leave u guys on a cliffhanger but I didn't feel like it 😂there's a big one coming for a cliffhanger ....
