It's another beautiful day. You can feel the sun warming your cheeks and your muscles all loose and ready to be active again. You had a good night's sleep, no nightmares or even weird dreams you used to have, all blissful and just warm all over. You stretched in your bed, still kind of sleepy but your brain is slowly waking up as you try to recall all of your agenda for today.
Is it Monday again? Or maybe Wednesday as you did remember having a Taco Tuesday night by yourself...
Grudgingly, you hoist your upper body to momentarily get your brain working again. The soft plush of your bed still invites you warmly, the temptation is driving you mad but as a responsible adult you need to begin your day.
Huh, that's weird. The sun seems to be purple.
Wait, the sky is purple and you are not in your bed in the first place. You carefully examined the soft and bouncy land you were in. How strange, are you still dreaming? You pinched your right arm, nothing changed. You pinched it again, you began to smell soft lavender in the air and something burning?
Slowly, you settle in the strange place as you faintly hear car horns screaming and people with really heavy feet walking.
With your shaky legs, you manage to stand and look around. The sky is still purple and with hints of soft violet that you conclude it is like the clouds. This place really reminds you of a very cotton-y cotton candy land, instead of the usual pink the place is filled with shades of purple and white. This was a very sweet dream.
Even if you're in a strange place, you feel exhausted. Eyes droopy that you slapped yourself awake, to become aware of the new environment around you.
This is a dangerous place, you try to rationalize, but your body feels so relaxed.
Your mind starts to haze again, to let your body succumb to sleep yet again.
But you persist, you stand your ground as you weakly pinch your hands. It failed.
Last thing you smell is sulfur.
All you can see is darkness, feel darkness and touch darkness. You're poetic, we know, but let's not dwell on your humor for now. You're paralyzed! You try to move or even lift your arms, but all you can do is gasp. No, you're not running out of oxygen, you're just panicking.
You can't really expand on your options here I'm afraid, you're stuck in the void. Your body seems asleep even if you're consciously awake. What a weird spot you are in now, at least you have yourself as your own company.
A poke in your shoulder startled you but there is no one there.
Another one, your head quickly tries to catch the perpetrator but you're unsuccessful.
Another poke in your legs, your neck and even in your cheeks! It's annoying because you can't really stop whoever is doing this.
A pinch woke you up.
You are surrounded by bright light, very bright lights. It's burning your eyes as you slowly wake yourself up. Strange, you didn't remember sleeping. Your skin is getting goosebumps from the very cold bed you're lying in, it's not very comfortable so you tried removing yourself from it.
A set of gasps stopped your movement, you hear nervous clicks and baa from your corner. You slowly turn your head towards them and... safe to say you're quite shocked to see them.
Three small beings huddle in a corner, all shaking and watching you back. Despite the very bright lights above you, their figures are incomprehensible. Is that a goat? He's wearing glasses and standing with his two legs... What is that crazy string? No, that's a tail, a thin tail that has a flame on it? Alright, this is very strange...
"Hello..?"
Silence answered you back, then chaos.
One of them fainted from your voice and the goat one put their hands in front of them, seemingly protecting themselves against little ole you. "P-please! Don't hurt us again!"
It took you a minute to digest what they said- that goat is talking so of course your brain got fried! And you shook your head to them, "Me? Hurting you? You can hurt me more than I can hurt you!" You made yourself smaller, despite your ass being on the coldest surface imaginable. Even in the layers of your clothing, it all feels cold and dry at the same time. Where the hell are you?
Still shaking, the goat-man approached you just a bit with his arms hidden at his sleeves. The poor thing was shaking but they tried to remain brave, "I- I don't know how but first of all, why is there a human here in Sloth?" They keep on observing your features, too different from their furry claws and hooves.
You scrunch your nose at being called 'human', not liking that both of you are too different in appearance and definitely as species. "I don't know, it's all messy and confusing that... wait where am I again?" You swore they said 'cloth' but you can't remember any town with that name. The goat-man looked back at their peers, who were still shaking, and played with his claws a bit, "You're in Hell, human."
Specifically the circle of Sloth, the very bottom of Hell as they introduced. Literal Hell, the very own place of damnation and sins. The realm of demons and debauchery, the place for eternal punishment. Hell, what the...
"Hell... Why am I in literal Hell?!"
Besides the figures in front of you, which you can definitely see horns and bat-wings behind them, the room you're in seems... nice? Too normal to be placed in the land of damnation, even too normal as it's built like a clinic room with some gadgets and posters about imp health and anatomy.
"Not to mention, you're alive."
It is indeed you're alive, heart still beating and pumping out blood and your skin still has it's usual 'alive' color. Oh goodness, you're panicking more. Why? Because you're not dead BUT you are even more in danger than being dead.
Oh at least the demons in front of you are nice... and doctors.
