"Alright, tomorrow is the opening of the hunting festival." Luden declared, he had called us all in and I had assumed that it was for something important.

Turns out he just wanted to know if I would behave myself tomorrow. What a waste of time when the answer was clear. No.

"Sovine, the faith of our family lies on you." Luden dramatically announced as tension hung in the air of the room.

It was probably something important to him since he was telling the truth, but if this whole family was to be executed it would probably be ordered by the crown prince.

Which meant I would've achieved my goal and been killed by one of the game's male interests and gone back to my world!

...

Or ultimately died but it was going to happen eventually as the villainess so I see nothing wrong with that.

"Don't worry, I've got a plan!" I proudly declared, as they all turned to me.

"... I am worried." The duke responded as the brothers nodded along in agreement.

"So the plan is that I will simply avoid the crown prince the end of the festival!" I declared proudly once more, ignoring the duke's concern.

"... I am very worried." The duke once again stated as the brothers again nodded along.

"I'm serious! The other nobles don't matter since they're clearly below the Divinus's and Anartis won't do shit to us so all that I must do is stay the fuck away from the Imperial family members!" I explained.

"What if you offend the crown prince while doing so?" Luden questioned seeming rather hesitant on going with this idea.

"I'll just stay at the farthest corner of wherever he is so he won't be able to think I'm avoiding him." I responded as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Plus, I doubt the crown prince will be able to move around freely with all those noble flocking around him to gain his favor." I added a moment later as the duke and brother's seem to be considering my idea.

"And if somehow the crown prince ends up being close enough to speak to you?" Vidoro asked seeming suspicious of my suggestion.

Reason, it was my suggestion.

"I'll act clueless, oblivious, and dense and run after towards the food, flowers, or Anartis at the banquet. Whichever is closest." I responded with a smile.

"Eh?" Vidoro couldn't understand my magnificent logic.

"I'll make it look like I didn't see him and embarrass myself for the sake of saving the family from execution." I explained in a more understandable manner.

"And if the crown prince gets mad that he can't catch you?" Avis decided to join into the question despite not really caring about all this.

He was just too stupid to understand the gravity of this situation.

"He's probably too prideful to admit that he couldn't catch the "spoiled fake Divinus" while being a soldier to do anything." I answered throwing in one of the many titles Sovine was known as.

"Eh. I guess we'll be fine after all." Avis turned to the duke and Luden who still seemed hesitant, Vidoro also looked worried.

I had prepared this plan before had for two reasons. in case I decided to actually not get us all executed right now and try to take the safer road.

Which was to wait for Vidoro to become the master of the magic tower and send me back to my world which would probably much less scary and painful.

And to reassure the Divinus family.

"I believe this is the best we'll get under these circumstances, father." Luden finally spoke up, he to had reluctantly agreed to my suggestion.

"... I suppose we can risk losing some face, and as you said, it's probably our only option now." The duke also eventually, reluctantly agreed.

"Hurrah! Okay, bye, I've got work to do." I waved them all off and left the room after a small cheer.

I used to be somewhat careful around the duke and brother's since death is still a very scary experience that my brain naturally wants to avoid.

But recently I had stopped doing that as well, after all. Death was my whole goal at this point.

Even if it's scary, it's inevitable. Might as well enjoy myself in annoying the brothers instead of holding back out of fear of it.

'And looks like they've also gotten pretty used Tobit at this point.' I hummed to myself as I walked down the hallway of the mansion.

Luden had stopped trying to lecture me on using my etiquettes now.

The duke wasn't surprised in the slightest when he heard me and Avis yelling at each other from our room's windows this morning.

I should've just dumped a bucket of water at his face since his room is right below mines. I'll do it next time.

And Vidoro's strength and stamina has also been improving lately, he can use magic again too.

Everything seems to be going too peaceful for a villainess. It's almost made me forget why I'm here and what awaits me on the future...

Gruesome death.

But I was once again reminded of the fate meant for Sovine at early dawn yesterday morning.

I hadn't opened the book I had gotten from the lately even once since I've received the system.

Or maybe even before that.

I dreaded seeing the sight of the girl riddled with thorns and blood on its cover. She looked so pitiful compared to the angelic one standing at her back.

And the fact that I was her and I was destined to feel all the pain and torment she went through. Made me sick to my stomach.

So I avoided it despite the warning the woman in the alley had given me. And yesterday, it had suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth.

I've tried searching for it. But it was nowhere to be seen. I've even asked the system, but it didn't even know what it was...

So here we are.

'There's no point looking for something that doesn't exist anymore. I have to make the crown prince end all this and kill me at the hunting festival.'

Even if it meant taking the Divinus family down with me.

-----

"Ardeat. Do you really have to wake me up in two in the morning to get ready?" I questioned as Ardeat continued to prepared my bath.

"Of course, my lady. The duke even sent for six other maids to get you ready for today." Ardeat informed, she was probably going to drag me out of bed if she needed to.

"But I'm already pretty enough as is!" I whined, not moving from my spot on the bed.

"Even so. It is necessary to prepare you for the hunting festival." Ardeat responded turning to my burrito wrapped figure on the bed.

"My lady, your bath's ready." She was already too used to this behavior to care anymore.
