I did remember.

I remembered as soon as I woke up on Liam's couch. I remembered when I walked into work that evening. I remembered when I walked into school five minutes ago.

Nelson kicked the edge of my chair, "Dude. I'm your twin and your brother, what the fuck is going on?"

"I'm tired and still hungover." I laid my head on the desk, attempting to think of anyone but Spencer Hathoway. I even tried to think about my ex but she wasn't as good as Spencer.

Nelly sighed, "Well you're not gonna be happy when you realize who's in most of our classes."

"Nelson." I looked up at him, my gaze interrupted by a certain person talking with Miss Gilligan. "Fucking hell." My eyes were immediately drawn to her perfectly fixed hair that sat so neetly against the cream colored shirt she was wearing.

I hated her for how perfect she was and how aweful my stomach felt for noticing.

As if she felt me staring at her, she turned to look at me. Our eyes met and everyone in the room drfited away, not even my friends giggling as they made their way towards me broke my gaze.

Before she could properly focus on what she was doing, she tripped over Martin's bag in the isle and dropped her book and phone.

And as if this was a book, they slid near our table, landing directly by my chair.

Nelson laughed like he had the same thought as me. For different reasons, obviously. He thinks I still hate her guts.

Which I think I do even more now.

I picked both items up and knelt down in front of her, "Here."

Her face was bright red and she gently took them away from me, "Thanks."

I reached out to help her up and surprisingly, she took my hand and we rose to our feet, "No one saw that."

"Everyone did." She laughed as she spoke.

I shrugged and stepped away from her, "They don't care."

She moved to the back of the room and took her spot beside Kaylea and Avani.

Nelson had an issue with staring straight at the girl who he claimed he wasn't anything with. And now, I had that issue with someone I desperately needed off of my mind.

And it sucked because we had the same homeroom. At my school, your homeroom is based on what classes you're taking.

Nelson and I stay in the North building all day except for lunch because we take all advanced classes.

And I forgot that she does too.

I just figured she would be in Mr. Taylors homeroom just like last year.

When I sat back down, Liam was already grinning, "Talk about balls. I can't believe she actually came to school." He elbowed Nelson and the pair burst out laughing at a joke I didn't understand.

"Why wouldn't she?" I figured they would make the excuse that she hadn't been for a month already or she got too drunk at his party.

But instead Liam said, "Because she was totally getting it on in my basement on Saturday."

Nelson laughed, "Can't believe it." He shook his head.

Dani raised her eyebrows, "Someone actually did it with Spencer Hathoway?"

My ears were blazing hot and I thanked that my hair was down today so no one would be able to see how red they were, "I thought she and Riley Hall did something this summer?"
