"You mean you thought I wouldn't?" Hana asked, raising an eyebrow in amusement.Jungwon's small smile grew, his gaze softening. "No, it's not that. I just wasn't sure how you'd handle all the chaos. We're kind of... a lot."
Hana chuckled, leaning back into the couch. "You can say that again. But honestly, it hasn't been as overwhelming as I expected. Everyone's been really kind. It's... different, but I like it."
"I'm glad," Jungwon replied, his voice sincere. He glanced back down at his book, but then, as if considering something, he spoke again. "If things ever do feel like too much, you can always come to me. I know how it is to suddenly be surrounded by a bunch of different personalities."
There was something in his tone that made Hana pause. She tilted her head, studying him for a moment. Jungwon always seemed so composed, so responsible—like nothing ever got to him. But the way he said those words hinted at something more, something unspoken.
"Thanks, Jungwon. I'll keep that in mind," she said softly, her eyes lingering on him as he returned to his book.
In that brief exchange, she felt a small shift between them. It wasn't much, just a tiny crack in the calm facade he always maintained, but it made her see him a little differently. Behind his quiet, dependable nature, there was someone who understood what it felt like to be overwhelmed, even if he didn't show it.
The quiet stretched between them, comfortable and unhurried. Hana could hear the faint sounds of the others in their rooms—Sunoo laughing at something on his phone, Jake and Jay still bickering over which snacks to keep in the fridge. It all felt so normal, like she had been here longer than just a couple of days.
And maybe, in a way, she was starting to settle in.

Hana woke up early the next day, a little earlier than the rest of the apartment. She found herself craving some quiet, especially after the hectic energy of the previous day. Deciding to take a small walk around the neighborhood, she left a note on the kitchen counter for Jay and slipped out the door. The cool morning air greeted her as she stepped outside, the streets of Seoul still quiet in the early light. It was a stark contrast to the bustling energy of Myeongdong from the day before. Hana wandered for a while, taking in the local shops and cafes, some just beginning to open for the day.
As she turned a corner, she spotted a small park nestled between two buildings, its greenery a welcome sight amid the urban sprawl. She wandered in, her steps slowing as she found a bench near a small pond. The stillness of the water mirrored her thoughts—everything was so new, yet it felt like the beginning of something important. Something that would change her in ways she hadn't anticipated.
She sat there for a while, letting the quiet seep into her bones. It was strange how quickly Seoul had started to feel like a second home, even with all the uncertainty that came with it.
