The next few days passed in a blur of laughter and new experiences. Hana found herself increasingly comfortable in the apartment, the chaos of seven personalities blending together like colors on a canvas. But two faces stood out among the rest: Jungwon and Sunghoon.
One evening, after an impromptu cooking session that had turned the kitchen into a battlefield of flour and spices, Hana found herself sitting at the dining table with Jungwon and Sunghoon. The three of them were surrounded by remnants of their culinary experiment—pans clattered, the smell of burnt garlic hung in the air, and everyone wore aprons decorated with flour smudges.
Jungwon sat across from her, his brow furrowed in concentration as he wiped a stray flour particle from the table. "I think we can still salvage this," he said, looking up at her with that characteristic calmness that reassured her.
"I'm pretty sure we're just a culinary disaster," Hana replied, trying to stifle a laugh. "But I'm here for it!"
Sunghoon leaned back in his chair, a teasing glint in his eye. "You're just saying that because you didn't have to clean the kitchen. Right, Jungwon?"
Jungwon shot him a mock glare but couldn't suppress his own smile. "You're not wrong. But at least we made some great memories." He paused, his gaze shifting to Hana. "And it's nice to see you laugh like this."
The compliment sent a flutter through Hana's chest. "I'm really enjoying my time here, honestly. You guys make it easy." She met Jungwon's eyes, feeling a warmth radiate between them, something unspoken yet tangible.
Sunghoon watched their exchange, a thoughtful look on his face. "You know, we could always do this again. But maybe with a better recipe?" He winked, and the tension broke as laughter filled the room once more.

The following day, Hana found herself wandering through a nearby park with Sunghoon. They had decided to take a break from the apartment chaos, wanting to enjoy the mild spring weather. Cherry blossoms fluttered down like soft pink snow, and the sun cast a golden glow over everything.
Sunghoon strolled alongside her, hands tucked into his pockets, his gaze drifting to the trees. "I love this time of year. Everything feels fresh and alive," he remarked, his voice low and contemplative.
Hana nodded, looking up at the blooming branches. "It's beautiful. In America, we have similar seasons, but there's something magical about Seoul's spring. It feels like a new beginning."
Sunghoon turned to her, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yeah. New beginnings can be pretty special. They remind us that we can always grow."
As they walked, Hana felt the distance between them closing. Sunghoon was often the quiet observer, but today he was more open, his words thoughtful and intentional. She wanted to know more about him, to peel back the layers of the boy who seemed so calm yet held a world of depth beneath the surface.
