A/N: Sigh... I'm having serious writers block... Sorry I wasn't uploading much for almost a week! These stupid exams. I hate them.

Maya and Amara both had their weaknesses.

Maya couldn't handle compliments. She would rather be bullied than be mobbed with compliments. She ALWAYS gets so flustered she either runs away or responds with awkward gibberish.

On the other hand, Amara loved her snacks. She couldn't go one day without eating snacks. Chips, biscuits, smoothies, candies, chocolates, you name it!

Maya decided that she would hide every single snack Amara had and she would hide the money Amara had so that she couldn't buy anymore snacks.

Amara's devious brain thought of countless compliments to shower Maya with so that Maya would get EXTREMELY flustered.

✨THE NEXT DAY✨

Amara grinned, her eyes twinkling as she approached Maya in the hallway. She could barely contain her excitement—this was going to be LEGENDARY!

"Hi, Maya! Your hair looks so good today!" Amara said with an exaggerated smile, making it as pathetic as possible.

Maya froze mid-step, instantly feeling her face flush. "I- uh... my hair? I mean... I didn't even—uh... thanks, I guess?"

Amara leaned in closer, eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "And your bracelet! Wow, you always have such good taste in jewelry. You should totally become an ambassador for a jewelry brand!"

Maya's brain short-circuited. "Uh... y-yeah, bracelet... I like... uh, necklace?" she stammered, tugging awkwardly at her sleeve. Her heart beat so fast, it might as well explode, and beads of sweat started forming on her forehead. Why did compliments make her feel like this?!

Amara had to hold back a snort. It was working even better than she'd hoped.

"And your smile, Maya! It's absolutely radiant!" Amara continued, her words dripping with sweetness.

Maya's eyes widened as she started backing up. "W-what? My... uh, teeth... they're just normal teeth—um... smile? Radiant? I- uh, what does that mean? Got to go, bye!" And with that, she turned and bolted down the hallway, almost tripping over a small first former, leaving Amara cackling like a witch behind her.

Maya wasn't going to take this. "Compliments? Really? She's using my own weakness against me?"

Well, two could play that game. Maya snuck into the dormitory while Amara was busy basking in her success and quietly removed every last bag of chips, packet of biscuits, candy bars, and hidden stashes of chocolate from every drawer. She even found Amara's secret snack money under her bed and pocketed it. With a devil-ish grin, Maya left behind a single note:

Good luck finding snacks today! – Your wonderous BFF, Maya

✨IN THE DORMITORY✨

Amara casually reached into her backpack, ready for her usual mid-morning snack break, but her hand came up empty. Frowning, she checked again. Nothing. Panic started to set in. She opened her locker, rifled through her bag, even patted her pockets. All empty.

Her heart sank.

"What?! No snacks?!" she whispered in disbelief. She couldn't SURVIVE a day without snacks!

She found Maya's note.

"Oh, no, she didn't."

At that moment, Maya appeared at the doorway, leaning against the wall with a sly grin.

Amara's eyes narrowed. "You. Where are my snacks?"

Maya crossed her arms, a huge grin on her face. "Oh, not telling... Just thought I'd make today a little more... interesting for you. You know, since you seem to enjoy making me uncomfortable."

Amara's stomach growled loudly, and she winced. "Maya... this is cruel and unusual punishment."

"Oh, is it?" Maya raised an eyebrow. "Maybe next time you'll think twice before telling me I have 'the prettiest eyes ever.'"

Amara smirked, despite her growling stomach. "Well, Maya, I just have to say... that was an amazing prank. You're so clever! I don't know how you come up with these things. And honestly? You're so talented—"

"NO!" Maya screamed, her face flushing again. She frantically waved her hands in front of her, as if trying to physically stop the compliments. "Stop! Stop! That's cheating!"

"Oh, but it's so true," Amara said with a wink. "You're just naturally amazing."

Maya groaned, backing away, her face now a bright shade of red. She knew she was losing the war, but Amara's snack-less suffering still gave her some satisfaction.

"We're calling a truce, right?" Maya mumbled, flustered.

"Only if I get my snacks back," Amara replied.

Maya bit her lip, clearly torn. "Do I have to?"

Amara smirked with satisfaction. "Yup. Or else you will have to get COMPLIMENTED ALL DAY!"

Maya groaned, "Fine, fine. Truce."

Amara held out her hand, still smirking. "Done. And maybe a couple of chocolate bars as an apology?"

"Don't push it." Maya muttered, but shook her hand, sealing their temporary truce.
