Did I mention that even though the students live in a modern world, they live in a Hogwarts-ish place? No? Forgive me for that blunder... Anyways...
All the students and teachers heard this. What a WONDERFUL THING to end this day with.
The teachers and high schoolers quickly started setting the school up for a makeshift house. They honestly expected it after all, but not so early. Mattresses, blankets, food rations and more were taken care of. (is that correct?) The students had to be separated into groups of 20 for each classroom. And would you take a look at that, Matt and Ivy were put in the same classroom! How roman- ANYWAYS, as always, the same number of supporters for each kid. AMAZING.
✨TIME SKIP✨
"God dang, there's nothing to do!" came a groan from Matt. He was used to always being on his phone, but his phone had run out of battery and no one in his room had an extra charger.
JUST GREAT!
On the other hand, Ivy was curled up with her blanket, reading "Time travelling with a Tortoise" by Ross Welford (that's mah fav book right there). Even though she loved social media, being popular and getting good grades, she still was an avid reader (like meee).
"Wow, didn't expect YOU to be a bookworm, Ivy." said Matt, in astonishment.
"What do you want, idiot? Want to read my book? No, cuz you have no brain and you wouldn't be able to understand quantum physics and Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity and his Special Theory of Relativity" (yeah even though they don't teach that stuff in school, I still know about it thanks to the book and its prequel lolz)
"Sheesh, just asking out of curiosity, nerd. And for a matter of fact, I do have a brain, thanks."
"Nice to hear you have a brain, Matt. Where do you keep it?" (again reference to Mallory Towers book... 4 lolz)
Matt just rolled his eyes and settled down near Ivy.
Ivy blushed a little. Now I think I better confirm something.
Even though they're rivals, they would never admit this, but they had a secret crush on each other.
"Thanks a CRAP TON, author." Ivy thought. (hahaha breaking the 4th wall)
Matt started reading a random book he brought. Both of them lay down. (hehehe you'll see what happens!)
They were really engrossed in their book until... they got so close to each other they ALMOST kissed.
"WHAT THE HELL, IVY?"
"WHAT?! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING DUMBO!"
"YOU ALMOST KISSED ME!"
"YOU DID THAT FIRST!"
And, so starts the (lovers) quarrel. Just great.
