It was about a 30 minute walk to the bar. It was cold, but my body felt warm. Despite that, I didn't mind Aksel's arm around my shoulders.
We spent most of the walk chatting, telling dumb jokes and laughing. I was actually having fun. I couldn't remember the last time I'd felt so.. happy.
Aksel walked in first, holding the door open for me, Krista and Emil following.
I glance around. It was busy. The atmosphere was charged, filled with laughter and loud conversation. I headed straight for the bar, eager for another drink as I spotted a familiar group sitting in a dark corner of the bar.
He sat, bottle in hand, surrounded by the others - Jan, Varg, Erik, Metalion, Occultus and Faust.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and looked away. He hadn't seen me yet, and I wanted to avoid making eye contact. I was sure if I saw his eyes - if he looked at me how he did the last time I'd seen him, that I wouldn't be able to control myself.
Aksel's arm draped around my shoulders again as he ordered us drinks and I became conscious of his touch. We walked to the opposite side of the bar to an empty table and sat. I looked up and saw Erik approaching us. Beyond him, still seated at the table, Øystein's eyes met mine for a second before he looked away, taking a drink. It was only a moment, but it was enough for my heart to want to jump out of my throat.
"What're you guys doing here? Thought you were at a party." Erik questioned, his eyes falling to Aksel's arm around me again.
"We were, but we ended up at the club." Krista grinned mischievously.
"You got her to go to a club?" Erik's surprise was evident in his voice as he looked at me.
"Good. You should be getting out more." He sounded relieved.
I was grateful when someone sat directly across from me, completely obstructing my view of their table.
The conversation had somehow turned to nature and camping. I was adamant that Krista would come camping with me one day soon, whether she came willingly or not. She kept refusing, but I was insistent. We were deep in conversation but I felt Aksel's hands on my leg, softly grazing my thigh with his thumb, just above my knee. I hadn't paid much mind to it, honestly.
I was feeling amazing, happy, talking about one of my favourite things in the world with my best friend.
I was harshly snapped out of my blissful state with one motion. Aksel's hand had crept further up my thigh and he had buried his face softly into my neck, planting a kiss. I jolted, quickly composing myself as I stood up.
"I'll be back." I said, quickly excusing myself. I stood at the bar, waiting for my next drink, careful to avoid looking in a certain direction.
Aksel's hand pressed into the small of my back and I flinched slightly.
"Let me get this one." He insisted. I shook my head.
"You've bought me enough drinks tonight." I laughed a little. Before I could pull my purse out, he was handing cash to the bar tender. I sighed, thanking him and giving him an annoyed look as he smirked. I turned, waiting for Aksel to be served. Shit.
Familiar icy blue eyes locked onto mine, but they were dark. His expression was hardened, lips in a tight line.
I felt my heart pound, glancing at Aksel. A new kind of hunger stirred inside of me and I glanced back at Euronymous.
I bit my lip. Maybe I could have some fun with this. What harm could it do?
I touched Aksel's arm, looking up at him with wide eyes.
"Let's do shots."
"I knew I liked you." He grinned and winked at me.
As if summoned, Krista appeared as the bartender poured our shots of whiskey. Her soft hands found my lower waist and she pulled me toward her. "God, I'm so attracted to you." She joked, grabbing a shot glass and clinking it to mine. We pulled faces but got a few encouraging cheers from some other patrons.
I glanced teasingly back at Euronymous, running a hand through my hair. His stare hadn't left me, but his jaw was clenched. Jealousy was an attractive colour on him.
Krista turned her attention back to Emil and I felt arms snake around my waist. Aksel leaned down behind me, his lips grazing my ear sharply.
"Follow me." He whispered. I turned to decline, to say we should stay, but he grabbed my hand roughly, leading me to a dimly lit hallway. I'd stumbled most of the way behind him, unable to keep up.
He stopped abruptly and pushed my body against the wall, pinning me to it with his own. I gasped but it was interrupted by his mouth crashing into mine forcefully. I tried to catch my breath, to relax under his touch. I'd wanted him as a distraction, after all. My heart was racing and his hands felt like they were everywhere at once.
"S-Stop!" I pushed at his chest, and he moved back of his own accord, confusion fell over his face, but it quickly turned into annoyance.
"Why?" He snapped. I'd never heard him sound so harsh.
"I-I just need a second." I managed to stutter, trying to catch my breath. He shook his head.
"You're a fucking tease, you know that?" He spat. I looked up at him, confused as to where this side of him had come from. "I see the way you look at that guy." He continued, his voice was cold and I felt small. He shook his head.
"I want you." In a blur, he had stepped closer, pinning me against the wall again. "Say you want me." He demanded, grabbing both my hands and holding them firmly to the wall above my head.
"No." I gasped, trying helplessly to remove my hands from his grip but he was too strong.
