Clunk! Crrrch!
"Steven? What was that?" Pearl asks in a panicked voice, rushing over to the noise in the kitchen.
Steven is covered in flour with pots and pans on the floor. "Uhhmm..."
Pearl draws her spear out, standing on guard. She glances Steven, then the mess on the floor. "Oh."
Garnet walks over, standing to the side of the counter. She tilts her head down, waiting for Steven to explain.
"I— uh, I wanted pizza, so I thought I could make some?"
Pearl puts her spear back into her gem, pinching the bridge of her nose. She mutters under her breath, then looks at Garnet when asking, "Do you think you could help him out with his... this?"
Garnet simply nods, giving a thumbs up. Steven smiles wide, and Pearl cleans up the mess he made on the floor. Once she's finished, Pearl walks back into her room, not looking back. "What's with her?" Steven asks, getting out the supplies to make a delicious pizza.
"Pearl doesn't like food, or messes," Garnet helps him pull out a circular pan, placing it on the counter.
Steven nods his head, looking at the materials now placed on the counter. "I see. Well, I'm glad you're here to help!"
Garnet smiles at Steven, "Where do we begin?"
"Alright, we're gonna need sauce and pepperoni. We already have the cheese and flour to make the dough," Steven says, nodding as he lists the ingredients off on his fingers.
"You get the sauce and pepperoni, and I'll make the dough."
"Aye-aye, captain!" Steven smiles wide, saluting to Garnet. She smiles and gives a small wave, watching as Steven leaves the house on a quest to find the two missing ingredients.
"Time to get to work," The tall fusion glows, turning to two smaller gems. They look at each other, and share a quick kiss.
"Okay, Ruby, I'll grab the ingredients for the dough, you just have to knead it," Sapphire says, already pulling out a bowl and yeast from the cabinet.
Ruby smiles proudly, nodding, "Yes, ma'am!"
Once the ingredients are added to the bowl, Ruby starts mixing and kneading the dough. Sapphire watches, smirking as her partner focuses on kneading it to perfection.
Ruby glances over at her, tilting her head. "What are you smiling at?"
"Oh nothing, just admiring how strong you are," Sapphire replies in almost a flirtatious tone.
Ruby's face turns a darker red and the dough starts to slowly rise in her hands. "Oops!" Ruby quickly moves her hands away from the mixture, making sure not to bake it.
Sapphire giggles, kissing Ruby's cheek. Ruby smirks at her, picking her up, kissing all over Sapphire's face. The two end up accidentally fusing, and a few moments later, Steven runs back in.
"I got the stuff!" He exclaims, panting, holding up a shopping bag.
"Good job, Steven," Garnet smiles, readjusting her glasses. "Now let's make your pizza."
"Yeah!" Steven places the bag on the counter, getting out the two items. Garnet spins the dough into a circle, placing it in the pan. Steven adds the sauce and toppings, then Garnet helps him place it in the oven.
The oven alarm goes off once the pizza is done, and Steven rushes to get it out. "Be careful, I'll get it," Garnet says, opening the oven. She pulls the tray out, placing it on the counter. The pizza looks and smells amazing, and Amethyst pokes her head out of her room.
"We made pizza!" Steven announces, throwing his hands up in the air.
Amethyst walks over, sitting on the counter. "Can I have some?" Her hand is already out, waiting for a slice.
Steven hands her a slice, eating his own. Garnet stands back, enjoying her own slice of the perfect pizza.
"Wow, this is actually really good. What's the secret ingredient?" Amethyst asks, leaning forward a bit to listen closely.
"Love," Garnet smirks, and Steven smiles wide while Amethyst shrugs, eating another slice.
