Garnet (Ruby x Sapphire) oneshots!

Cat-Sitting (Oneshot #3)

A calico cat tumbles its way off of Steven's bed, landing in Garnet's arms. "Be careful, little one," the fusion says, booping the cat on the nose. She places the cat back on the bed, and Cat Steven curls up into a roll, shutting her eye.

Garnet lets out a small chuckle, petting the feline. "I'm taking care of you today while Steven is with Connie," Cat Steven opens her eye, looking at Garnet. "What do you want to do first?"

Cat Steven yawns, stretching her legs as she gets up. She trots her way down the stairs, pawing at the front door. Garnet opens it for her, and Cat Steven walks out of the beach house. Garnet follows her, making sure to not let the feline out of her sight.

The two walk silently, side by side, both of them glancing at each other every few steps. Cat Steven leads Garnet all throughout Beach City, stopping at Fish Stew Pizza. The feline paws at the restaurant's door, meowing up at Garnet. The Crystal Gem opens the door, walking in with the cat following behind.

"Welcome to Fish Stew Pizza. What can I get for yo— aww! A cat!" Kiki crouches down, gently petting Cat Steven's head. She purrs, and Kiki looks up at Garnet. "I'm guessing you're here for fish, right?"

"Yes," Garnet replies, picking up Cat Steven. She looks down at the cat in her arms, smiling softly before saying, "We want the best fish you have."

"Alright," Kiki scribbles something down on her notepad, "I'll see what I can do," she walks back into the kitchen, and Garnet takes a seat at an empty table, still holding Cat Steven.

A few minutes pass, and Kiki walks out, setting a plate with a big fish down on the table. "I hope everything is to your liking," Kiki smiles, gently pets Cat Steven before walking back into the kitchen.

Cat Steven digs in, eating whatever she wants while lying comfortably in Garnet's arms. The fusion smiles, petting the cat as she devours the fish like a lion. The feline finishes the meal almost as fast as she got it, licking her paws. The two get up to leave, and walk out.
         
              "Hey, wait! You didn't pay!" Kiki yells out, standing in the doorway of the restaurant as she watches the two walk away. She lets out a sigh, "I'll just tell Steven later."

             Garnet looks down at the cat in her arms, and Cat Steven is starting to doze off. The gem(s) makes her way back into the house, setting the feline on the bed. She pulls a blanket over Cat Steven, making sure she's comfortable.

            Cat Steven lets out a little meow, yawning, then closes her eye. Garnet sits on the bed next to her, petting her as she falls asleep.

            An hour later, Steven walks in, announcing, "I'm home! Did you guys miss me?" He looks over to his bed, noticing Cat Steven sleeping in Garnet's arms, with the fusion herself sound asleep. He takes a quick picture, "This is going in the scrapbook."

Steven's phone rings in his hand and he answers it, hearing Kiki say, "You owe me $10."

"Huh?" Kiki then hangs up without further explanation, and Steven is left standing there, questioning everything.
