The grand ballroom was alive with lights and music, celebrating 50 years of the hospital's legacy. Doctors, nurses, and staff members all gathered to commemorate the event. Among them was Kaning, a dedicated doctor, dancing gracefully with a random partner as the floor filled with couples. The excitement of the night grew as couples swapped partners in a playful rotation. That’s when she found herself face-to-face with Kavin.
Kavin was charming, with an easy smile that made Kaning feel instantly at ease. They shared a laugh as they stepped off the dance floor, moving to the side where a refreshment stand offered cold drinks. It was there, by the juice stand, that a peculiar incident caught Kaning's attention.
A woman nearby was struggling to hold her glass of juice, her hands trembling visibly. Concerned, Kaning ,ever the caring doctor, handed the woman her own glass, trying to help her steady her shaking hands.
"Are you okay?" Kaning asked gently. "I think you might need to get checked out. Your hands... they shouldn’t be shaking like that. Please, it’s for your safety."
But instead of gratitude, the woman snapped back, her tone cold and defensive. "I don’t need a doctor telling me what to do!"
Kaning was taken aback but held her composure, her intent only to help. Kavin, sensing the tension, tried to break the awkward silence with a kind smile. But just as they were about to return to their conversation, the unexpected happened.
In the midst of their chat and laughter, Kaning’s hand slipped, and her glass of orange juice tipped over, spilling right onto her elegant dress. The bright citrus liquid stained the fabric, and Kavin immediately reached for napkins to help.
"I'm so sorry!" Kaning said with a flustered smile, though her embarrassment was hard to hide.
Kavin chuckled softly, handing her the napkins. "Hey, accidents happen. Don’t worry about it.
