Drunk Annie began to reveal her history.
"I was born into a middle-class family. My mom had started a company around the time of my birth, and by the age of fourteen, my family was wealthy, famous, and well-regarded. However, everything changed when my mom went missing. We searched everywhere, but there was no sign of her. After six months, the police informed me that my mom's body had been found. It was a devastating blow, and I felt like my world had fallen apart. I had always hoped she would come back, but she was gone forever. I even believed that she had left because she hated me," she cried out.
Arman tried to convince her that her mother loved her and never hated her.
Annie's face was wet with tears, and her eyes were swollen. Arman felt her pain deeply and was filled with anger toward her father.
Annie continued, "My dad left me, claiming in a goodbye letter that I was the reason my mom died and that I was a burden. The police closed my mom's case, stating that she had run away and died in an accident. My dad remarried within two months and inherited all of my mom's assets. He even had a son, my half-brother, who was older than me by one year. The public never acknowledged my existence."
Arman was surprised to hear about Annie's half-brother and asked how much older he was.
"He's not younger! He's one year older than me," she said, devastated.
Arman was eager to hear more about Annie's life, and despite the late hour and the noisy bar, he was fully engaged.
Annie revealed, "My friend's parents adopted me, and Becca became my sister. While I struggled to make ends meet, my dad and his family had no regard for me. I felt a burning desire for revenge, so I worked hard and started my own company with the help of my friends. However, another company called 'Mohan' almost bankrupted my mom's company. Then, the CEO of Mohan passed away, and my friends who were helping me went missing."
Arman tried to console Annie and reminded her that it wasn't her fault and that her dad was to blame.
Annie disagreed, "It wasn't my dad. I don't know who did it, but it wasn't him."
Arman was curious and asked for more details, but Annie explained that her father had called her back to join the family before he and his family went missing. She felt like an unlucky person, as everyone who cared for her ended up in bad situations.
As Annie continued to drink, she eventually collapsed, muttering "dad" in her subconscious state, which broke Arman's heart.
Arman had to give Annie a piggyback as she couldn't walk. The wind blew gently on his face. Her face was very close to his. Her soft, plumpy cheek brushed his neck. Her cheek was red and cold. She muttered people's names. Where do you want to go? He asked. She couldn't respond.
I'll take you somewhere you've always wanted to visit.
