After few minutes , the door bell rang and Radhika’s mother opened the door .Seeing Madhav, a gentle smile arrived on the Radhika’s mother's face.
Ma Kirtida welcoming Madhav in their apartment said, " Welcome beta , how are you ? You are studying very hard right ? Your face looks pale."
Madhav stepping inside the apartment with bright smile, " Yeah Kaki , one week is left till the finals and stress level has increased with revisions. "
Kirtida Ma locked the entrance door and with concern said , "Beta, you scored very well in your pre- boards , I know your boards will surely go awesome, eat properly and have enough sleep ."
Madhav with a little shy smile looking towards ground , " Ji Kaki ! Thank you for your wishes."
Radhika while standing infront of her room half leaning towards the wall , " Ma you never said these dearly words to me !? And I asked him to come to help me in maths not to have chit chats with you ."
Kirtida Ma with a serious tone , " Bring results like him you will surely recieve dearly words dear and I know he came here to teach you Maths , understand well , I want full marks in boards."
Radhika sighed with frustration , " Can you please come , Raja beta , Madhav ji ~ "
Madhav laughed, " Coming only ."
Radhika with her sarcastic tone , " I am blessed to have your dust of foot in my room, my guru (teacher)"
Madhav laughed hard , " Stop that Radha ."
Kirtida Ma understanding Radhika’s way , " Never mind beta she is like this only you go and after few minutes Radhika’s dad will come home with some snacks , I will send to the room ."
Madhav politely bowed , " Thank you Kaki !"
Madhav entered Radhika’s room , the window was opened through which cool breezes coming inside room and just infront of window was the study table of Radhika with books of maths were scattered and two chairs were there for both of them.
As they took their seats , Madhav asked , " Which part are you facing problems with?"Radhika looking down to the pages of her book , " The trigonometry section ."
Madhav said with ease , " Areh its easy , don't worry ~"
Radhika with angry tone , " Yeah , I know everything is easy still I can't do !"
Madhav trying to calm down his angry bird , " Chill Radha ! Calm down , you are great in studies for me ! Don't compare yourself with me ,you got better marks in biology, chemistry than me even in history ! I am proud of you for that ."
Radhika asked softly , " You do? I don't think so you are telling all these to keep my heart !"
Madhav with a concerned face , "Am I ? Isn't it true that you scored better than me in those subjects?"
Radhika in low voice still looking down in her copies , knowing that she did , " Yeah ~"
Madhav smiled a bit , " Then? Never ever compare yourself ~ now let's make your trigonometry strong so that you can score full marks in boards."
Radhika nodded.
The golden light of the sunset streamed through the window, casting a warm glow across the room as a cool breeze rustled the pages of Radhika's math book. Madhav sat across from her, explaining trigonometric functions with enthusiasm.
“Okay, Radhika, if sin A equals 0.5, what’s A?” Madhav asked, leaning forward, his expression serious yet encouraging.
Radhika bit her lip in concentration, scribbling on her notepad, “That would be... 30 degrees, right?”
“Exactly!” Madhav beamed ,“See? You’re getting the hang of this.”
Just then, Kirtida Ma entered with a tray of snacks, her eyes sparkling as she watched Radhika’s intense focus, “Look at my little scholar,” she murmured to herself, pride swelling in her chest, “I am proud of you, Radhika.”
After they devoured the snacks, Madhav dove back into the math problems. Hours flew by, filled with numbers and the soft sound of pencil on paper.
“Five hours and you’re acing this!” Madhav exclaimed, tossing her another problem, “So Miss Topper is now the next topper in math.”
Radhika grinned, her eyes sparkling with joy, “Thank you so much! I couldn’t have done it without you!”
“Always my pleasure, Miss Topper. Let’s see if there are any problems left for you to conquer.” He rifled through his notes, the sunlight catching the angles of his face.
Radhika, taking a moment to rest, found her gaze drifting toward him. His dark brown curls fell charmingly over his hazel eyes, which were intently focused on the book. *Those eyes... I never noticed how captivating they are,* she thought, lost in her own world.
Madhav felt her stare and smirked, keeping his eyes on the pages, “Radha, my eyes are not in the syllabus of board exams, you know that, right?”
Radhika’s thoughts snapped back to reality, “Yeah, yeah, I know! I wasn’t staring at you!”
Madhav raised an eyebrow, his teasing tone playful. “When did I say that you were staring at me?”
Radhika felt a blush creeping up her cheeks, “Well, you kind of implied it!”
Madhav chuckled, the room alive with their banter, “Alright, Miss Topper, focus on the problems. We’ve got more math to conquer!”
With renewed determination, Radhika leaned in, ready to tackle whatever Madhav threw her way. The sunset’s glow deepened, but her newfound confidence shone brighter than ever.
