When someone tapped Madhav’s shoulder, he turned back, his gaze meeting Baladev’s, and his expression shifted to one of utter shock.

He gasped, “Ballu?! Mr. Baladev Bhatt?!”

Baladev, trying to avoid the inevitable teasing, said, “I told Mom I want to wear the black kurta. She said that she bought it and kept it in the cupboard, but today when I went to get it, it’s—” he paused, “navy blue now she is saying it suits me better.”

How could I say to Madhav that I wore this navy blue kurta for an apology to Revati as I was rude to her that day when she wanted to twin and after that she became quiet with me

How could I say to Madhav that I wore this navy blue kurta for an apology to Revati as I was rude to her that day when she wanted to twin and after that she became quiet with me.

And the most thing I hated in this world was the silence of Revati.

Baladev’s POV ended with Madhav's eyes sparkling with mischief, leaned in with a smirk, “Oh, come on, brother. You really expect me to believe that? You wore it for Revati, didn’t you?!”

Baladev’s cheeks tinged pink, and he stammered, “What? No—why would I—”

Madhav, pushing the teasing further, said, “Because she’s wearing a navy blue saree today, right? Come on, you two will be the perfect pair, the best-dressed couple in the school!”

Baladev, trying to hide his growing embarrassment, smacked Madhav lightly on the back, “Shut up and stop acting like a love-struck fool or you’ll be the one needing a farewell!”

Just then, a soft, melodic voice interrupted their playful banter, “What are you two fighting about?”

They both turned, and time seemed to slow for Baladev as his eyes landed on her—Revati. Dressed in a stunning navy blue saree, she looked like she had stepped out of a dream. Her dark hair, flowing like midnight waves, framed her face perfectly, and the color of her saree seemed to shimmer with every step she took, as if the night sky itself had descended.

Baladev’s breath caught in his throat as he watched her approach. He stared, lost in her beauty, unaware of how long he had been holding his gaze.

Revati came up to him, her smile gentle and knowing. She rested a hand on his shoulder, her touch sending a warmth through him he couldn’t quite explain, “What’s wrong, Baladev? You’re staring into the distance like Madhav. Is something on your mind?”

Baladev blinked, pulled from his daze, his heart racing, “Uh... nothing,” he stammered, a smile tugging at his lips. But as he glanced at her, the truth was clear—everything about this moment was perfect. And it was all because of her.

Revati’s gaze lingered on Baladev, her voice soft but curious, “You said you would wear the black kurta. Then why navy blue?”

Baladev opened his mouth, but before he could speak, Madhav cut in, his tone teasing, “Actually, his mom bought him the navy blue kurta because she said it looks better on him than black.”
