I wake up to Seb laying over me and gently move him off me. I quickly use the bathroom and brush my teeth before grabbing one of Clary's shirts out of her bag and use a tracking rune to find her. I relax once I know she is at the institute. I put her shirt back and pull my hair up into a messy bun and put the Stele through it.
By now Seb was waking up so I order breakfast from room service. "Morning Momma." Seb's sleepy voice fills the room as he rubs his eyes with a closed fist. I walk over to him and sit on the edge of the bed, gently pulling his hands away from his eyes and smoothing down his bed head.
"Morning little one. Did you sleep okay?" I ask as he cuddles into my arms looking as if he was about to fall asleep again. He must be due a growth spurt with how much he had been sleeping in the last 48 hours. I hold him tighter as he nods and rests my head on his. We stay like that for a moment as he wakes up.
After we have breakfast we both get changed. Seb chose to wear a dark blue shirt that had an alien on the front that was abducting a cow and black jeans. Along with his black boots. I chose to match him and wear my black jeans, Dark blue corset top, healed knee high boots and a black leather jacket. "You ready to go?"
He nods and puts his backpack on while I grab the rest of our bags. "We need to make a stop at Jessie's and grab the car" I say thankful that I hadn't picked my car back up yet. Jessie was a work friend of mine who had borrowed my car since she was moving into a new place. Luckily for us, her new place is just down the block.
After picking up the car and placing everything in the back I go through a starbucks drive through and get four black coffee's and some donuts. While Seb picked a birthday cake cake pop. I then drive us to the institute while Seb sings along to the cars CD
We arrive at the institute and Seb walks up the steps ahead of me to the church. When we entered I was impressed with the moderness of the interior that sat amongst the solid brick walls of the church. The large stained glass windows allowed a kaleidoscope of colors to reflect onto the floor.
"Excuse me, Where's your med bay?" I stopped a random Shadowhunter, who was typing away a report on a computer. "Just up those stairs and to the right" He points to the direction, noticing the runes I had left visible on purpose. I thank him and guide Seb up the steps, still balancing the tray of drink in my hands while Seb carries the baked goods. We enter the med bay and find Clary unconscious on one of the cots while the three Shadowhunters from the club were standing around talking. When they see me, the two men stand and draw their swords on me.
"Who the hell are you?" The tall brunette questioned, his hand not leaving his weapon. "I'm Lianna Fairchild. And that girl is my little sister." I say pointing to Clary while Seb runs over to her and scrambles up onto the bed. I chuckle at his attempt and help him up. The four of us watch as Seb just begins to poke his aunt's face.
"It's you again." A perky voice speaks up from her spot on a rather comfortable looking chair. "Hey Izzy." I smile at her and hold out one of the coffees. "I brought you all black coffees. There's creamer and sugar in the bag as well and some baked goods." I place the tray and bag at the end of Clary's bed and take a seat next to her. Izzy was the first to grab a coffee and add in cream and sugar before taking a big bite out of a chocolate glazed donut. The boys follow suit, although a little more hesitantly than the raven haired beauty.
It was on the warmer side inside so I stripped off my leather jacket and hung it on the back of the chair and took my sister's hand in mine, showing off my runes as well as the dragon tattoo I had over my right arm.
"I'm confused. If you're a Shadowhunter like us and she's your sister. Then how does she not know about the Shadow world?" I sigh and face them, knowing I would need to give them some sort of background information to gain enough trust that they wouldn't try and kill me. Luckily for me I had already helped Izzy and she seemed to trust me enough.
"Her name is Clarrisa Fairchild. We are the daughters of Jocelyn Fairchild. Our mother never wanted her to grow up in this world. All I know is that she had a warlock spell her so she would no longer see the Shadow World but the spell had to be redone every few years. I was 5 when she chose to leave Idris so she didn't take my memories away but I did have to keep it a secret. I know that our mother was running from someone and that she was a member of the circle. That she took something. She never said what and I never asked."
By the end of it they all looked more confused than before. "And this cutie?" Izzy asks as she comes to sit with me and motions to my son. I smile lovingly at him and he climbs over his aunt and into my arms. "This is my son Sebastian." I run my fingers through his hair and he leans into my touch.
"Hello. Nice to meet you." He says politely, holding his hand out to Izzy and I feel her melt at his adorableness. "It's very nice to meet you sweetie. I'm Izzy." She shakes his hand and he blushes deeply, his eyes widening a little before he buries his face in my neck to hide from her. I chuckle at his reaction and Izzy joins me while the boys both look amused as they drink their coffee.
"This is my brother Alec Lightwood and his parabatai Jace Wayland." Izzy motions to the brunette and I'm finally able to put a name to a face. I nod to both of them and Jace give a little wave, a glazed donut shove into his mouth.
"Come on. I'll show you to a spare room. There's one next to mine. I'll see if I can find Sebastian his own room too if you want?" Izzy asks and Seb shakes his head. "Wanna stay with momma."
"You heard my baby. He can just room with me." I say as I stand up, lifting him with me. "Could one of you boys get the bags from my car. It's the black SUV outside." I hold up my keys and Alec takes it from me without a word and walks away. "Thank you" I call out after him and he just continued on.
